Summary: The Wedding
Review: The Wedding, just like all other Nicholas Sparks books managed to keep my attention the entire time. The book is a continuation of the Notebook and takes it to the next level without completely focusing on the characters in The Notebook. The Wedding tells the story of Noah's daughter and son-in-law, and how over the years they managed to lose the love in their marriage. The Wedding had a suprise ending that shocked me, and I loved reading about the new characters in Noah's life. It is definately one of Nicholas Sparks' best books. It ranks up there with A Walk to Remember.

Summary: Another great book
Review: After enjoying The Notebook and other wonderful books by this author, it was a no-brainer decision on my part to pick up The Wedding. Once again I was rewarded with a very enjoyable, relaxing reading experience. Yes, I recommend this book along with his others. Another pleasant romance. Worth every penny!
Also recommended: The Losers' Club by Richard Perez, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks (check out all his books!)

Summary: Heartfelt, touching, memorable!
Review: Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite writers. I have been a fan for a long time. Anything he writes has always been a joy to read and "The Wedding" is no exception. The characters, the dialogue, and the storyline of this book are heartfelt, touching, and memorable! If you haven't had an opportunity to read any of this talented writer's books yet then do yourself a favor and start with this book. It is terrific! ( "The Wedding," by super-talented author Nicholas Sparks, gets my Highest Recommendation!)

Summary: Boring
Review: At the risk of getting a gazillion negative votes for this review-I found this latest work by Sparks to be boring and average at best. The first two-thirds of the book are especially dull. The last third is more worthwhile, if you make it that far, where some humor and lightheartedness makes the story mildly interesting.

The story itself is about a middle-age couple where the spark seems to be out of the marriage because the husband is rather dull and inattentive. With the kids out of the house the marriage has become routine. As Wilson, the husband, realizes his faults he attempts to make amends and reenergize his marriage. He uses his daughter's upcoming wedding (thus the title of the book) as a catalyst to make amends for failings. The real catch for Sparks fans is that Wilson is married to the daughter of Noah and Allie, the couple from The Notebook. Noah plays a peripheral but important part in the novel.

The Notebook, Message in a Bottle, and A Walk to Remember are vintage Sparks and highly recommended. His last several novels, to this reader, have lacked the easy pacing and evocative prose that made these three novels top notch stories.

Summary: Perfect Sparks
Review: I had a little difficulty getting into this book until around the third chapter but then I couldn't leave it alone...as always Nicholas Sparks brings out the best and worst in human relationships....pulling no punches..."just telling it like it is"...I found myself laughing, crying and feeling quite in step almost as if I was there watching it all play out.

It was a great book to remind us all what we take for granted in relationships.....perhaps what we NEED to do for ourselves and others. I never guessed the ending until it happened....although I had thought earlier that it should happen.

It still kept me guessing and I loved it....I have reread it now a third time and each time I glean a little more from it.

Nicholas Sparks has never disappointed me and he has often reminded me just what an absolutely wonderful husband I have been blessed with in my life.

Summary: Pleasing romance
Review: Wilson Lewis has been a good provider for his wife and family, but has never been able to express his emotions to them. Because of this, he and his wife Jane have grown apart and she is close to leaving him. When Wilson forgets their anniversary and sees his wife's disappointment, he decides that he must make up for all of the time that he has neglected her. His daughter suddenly announces that she is getting married and that seems to spur on Wilson's own romantic overtures to his wife. It's not easy after all these years, but gradually he begins winning Jane's heart again. This is a lovely romance which paints a picture of "empty-nesters" who no longer have anything in common, except the commitment to make their marriage work.

Summary: An inspiring love story
Review: I loved this story of true love. It was a great follow up to The Notebook. Indeed the love between Noah and Allie were deep enough to carry on and have the power to create a miracle.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: What's not to like?
Review: I don't know why some people say they are disappointed - Sparks isn't a Pulitzer Prize novelist, he writes Love Stories for heaven's sake! Granted, the Notebook was his best, but how does one top himself? If you are a little more forgiving, you will read the book with an open mind and just revel in the fact that a writer (a man nonetheless) can express his feelings and the feelings of the women in his life with such accuracy. This book was a love story with an ending that was just great. Relax and enjoy - if you can't, then go back to War and Peace.
