Rating: Summary: Relax, laugh, and enjoy Review: I'd have to say this is one of her better ones. This was what I needed to read at this time. She always seems to know what I need. This book was short and I didn't put it down until I was done. I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Don't listen to reviews, everybody has their own opinions, if you enjoy reading Danielle, what have you got to lose. You'll be through it in know time and I'm sure you'll love it as I had.
Rating: Summary: GIVE ME A BREAK! LIGHTEN UP FOLKS! Review: I can't believe all the Steel "fans". My God, the woman took a cute, light-hearted, story and wrote it. It was funny and light-hearted and completely enjoyable. No, it wasn't her normal style but it was fun and a quick read. I actually paid for my copy and did not feel at all that I wasted any money.
Rating: Summary: Why all the negative reviews, guys? Review: Hey, I'm sorry but I thought this book was okay. It was very funny and never gets boring. The only disappointment this book had was that it wasn't longer. The book is perhaps not as good as some of her previous books like Vanished and Daddy, but it is still good. Just because the idea of a clone being the main focus of this book is ridiculous doesn't make this a bad book. It was, in fact, a nice and fun book. I really enjoyed it and I'm sure anyone who likes reading fun stuff will enjoy it as well.
Rating: Summary: Skip This Baby For Your Sanity Review: I borrowed this book on tape from the library for a long drive across the state. I had only read a few Daniel Steel books and I thought the book would at least relieve me from the boredom and monotony of the drive. The only thing I was relieved of was reality. I can't believe an author would intentionally make their main character so ignorant and unbelievable. Why is this "heroine" satisfied to play victim in her idiot boyfriend's plot to subject her to his alter ego? Is this type of character what women really want to read about? The only redeeming side of this book was to share it with my co-workers and laugh about how ridiculous the plot and characters were. I often wonder what other motorists thought as they passed me protesting out loud in my car at how stupid the characters and plot was.
Rating: Summary: A Nice Change Review: As a long-time fan of Steel's, I know that when I pick up any of her books I'll find love, heartbreak, and love once more. I will also find many places to visit while exploring the complexities of her characters. Never in my wildest imagination would I expect such a fun story from her. I sat and giggled into the late night. I also found a character that I, a mid-thirties mom, could relate to. My hat's off to Steel. Although far-fetched, it was quite an enjoyable story.
Rating: Summary: The Klone and I Review: Being a Danielle Steel fan, I was disappointed. This book is definitely not worth the read. I felt like I was reading something from The Twilight Zone. However, I will continue to purchase her books. Let's hope she doesn't have writer's block.
Rating: Summary: Escape reality for some far fetched fun! Review: Being a divorced woman with two children, I really enjoyed this book. I have read most of Danielle Steele's books. The Klone and I was not a Danielle Steele book at all. It took me by surprise - that is what I really enjoyed about the book. It wasn't what I expected from Danielle Steele. It was a fantasy that at times I wish I could escape to. Easy and fun to read! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: It wasn't that bad! Review: After reading all the bad reviews on this site, I decided I would not buy this book and wait for the library to get it. Well, I finished it yesterday, and yes it was very silly and far-fetched but I didn't think it was that bad! Actually, I thought it was a little better than The Ranch which was very boring! At least this one was short.
Rating: Summary: Umbelievable Review: I have enjoyed everyone of Danielle Steel's books. Her stories always take me far away from my own world. I have to say that this book was not what I expected. I like a story that I can see actually happening. This one was pretty far fetched. I still enjoyed the book, but prefered her first novels.
Rating: Summary: A Crazy Book Review: I usually love everything this author writes but I found this one totally stupid. It was just a woman jumping in bed time and again with one person or the other. ..Not much plot and the craziness ruined the romance. . .! If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.
