Summary: A WONDERFUL, TOUCHING STORY OF LOVE AND SECOND CHANCES.
Review: I absolutely loved this book!! I have read it at least 10 times and each time I read it, the ending makes me cry. Every time I finish it I tell myself never to read it again but I always end up picking it back up in a few monthes. It is such a beautiful story about second chances, friends, and the healing power of love. Tom and Bree were given a second chance in life to discover and love each other. Though Bree was ultimately taken from Tom, he was left with baby Wyatt and the memories of Bree's complete love and sacrifice for him.

Summary: Not Your Typical Love Story
Review: Three Wishes is a book that will have you believing that wishes do to come true and that there is the "perfect someone" out there for everyone. I personally felt a genuine kinship with Bree and her feelings for Tom because I have also felt some of the same things in a recent relationship. While hers had a far more happy ending than mine, the last chapter of the books certainly made me cry. But I feel this book holds a very special message that Ms. Delinsky is trying to convey to all of us...live each day as if it were your last! I loved this book! I am sure I will read it again and again!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: True Love
Review: Barbara Delinsky skillfully and touchingly develops a genuine romance in this book. Yes, it is sad at the end, but the development of the relationship is so beautifully done! I was disappointed by the last chapter though - I felt that Ms Delinsky had played chicken with the reader and 'blinked' in the last chapter. It was a cop out. Maybe her editor thought the book needed it to appeal to the typical romance reader who is looking for happy escapism (not that there's anything wrong with escapism!), but I feel it spoiled the book

Summary: Do You Believe in Out of Body Experiences?
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Out book review group has gone through so many heavy tomes that I think it would be a pleasure for them to read this book, and I think we could have a lively discussion about it. My answer to the question in the"Title" I have entered is that "yes, I do".

I got emotionally involved with Bree and, although I "knew" that she would die after the baby was born, I found myself crying when she did.

I think my group will enjoy reading the book and, as I mentioned above, I think the discussion of do/do not believe will be interesting and lively.

Summary: Get ready to cry
Review: Yes, this book is a definite tear jerker and the author makes no apologies for it. However, the characters are believable and you want them to find a hapy ending. This is the story of a small town waitress who finds love with a writer, who she is meets when they are involved in an accident. The main female lead almsot dies as a result of the accident and comes back to life believing she has been given 3 wishes. But what happens after she uses them up. I found this book sad, but not maudlin at all. The characters refuse to feel sorry for themselves and they engross the reader in the journey for love and salvation. This is one of my Delinsky favorites.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Yes, it's a tearjerker, but...
Review: the ending is bittersweet. Don't miss this book because you're afraid of a sad ending. It's Delinsky's most unusual book, and a beautiful story.

Summary: I Felt Cheated
Review: Although I've enjoyed all the Barbara Delinsky novels I have read, I truly felt cheated on this one. The story was absorbing and sweet, up until the last few chapters, at which point I was thrown through a loop, given a tragic ending that I really was not expecting. The ending was so devestating that I was angry enough where I had trouble getting through the last pages. I felt angry and cheated after reading a story that begins with hope and optimism that ends quite the opposite. So, if, like me, you read for escapism and happy endings, I would not recommend you read this book. The ending destroyed everything about the story that I loved prior to the ending.

Summary: What a lovely novel!
Review: Barbara Delinsky has the perfect touch of romance and entertainment that is real, not the corny dime store paperbacks. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for something to lift your spirits. But be sure to have some Kleenex's handy! A hidden treasure!

Summary: I was devastated!
Review: This was a beautifully written and enjoyable book, until the tragic ending almost blew me away. 'Three Wishes' could have rated 5 stars in my opinion, but I was so devastated by the conclusion that I couldn't even cry, and it ruined the whole book for me! I read for entertainment and for a temporary escape from reality, and I wanted this story to have a 'happily ever after' ending. It didn't. As much as I have always enjoyed reading Barbara Delinsky, I'm quite sure I will hesitate before I buy or read another of her books.

Summary: Three Wishes, by Barbara Delinksy
Review: Of all the books I have read in my life (33 yrs old, married, mom of 2), this has to be one of the BEST books that I have EVER read. The book has a wonderful story line of hope, love, friendship, and compassion. It is truely a MUST READ book for any woman who enjoys just a "Good Story" book. ALso try reading Coast Road- another GREAT Barbara Delinsky story!
