Rating: Summary: Amazing to say the least... Review: This book was amazing from begining to end. He has a way with words that not many authors have. For example, the part where he had us believing that Wil and Mimi were having sex, when actually she was playing with her vibrator. If thats not talent I dont know what is. Im looking foward to reading more of his novels.
Rating: Summary: Checkmate! Game over! Review: What do you get when you meet three individuals who are players in the game, victims of the game, or about to be played in the game? You get the latest novel from bestselling author, Mr. Carl Weber, appropriately titled Player Haters. Carl Weber, #1 Essence Bestselling author of Baby Momma Drama and founder of Urban Books, has, once again, satisfied our craving for drama. This page-turner of a novel will have you doubled over in laughter and begging for more. As with his previous novels, Carl has incorporated a huge dose of drama, an equal measure of laughter, and a sprinkle of compassion for his characters, to concoct a spectacular read. Watch out Jerry Springer, Maury, and Montel!!! The Duncan family and their antics will surely put your guests to shame. These well-developed characters are off the chain with their off-the-chart imaginations. Wil's troubled marriage is at a greater risk of being destroyed as a result of the advances from his all-too accommodating secretary, Mimi. Will he be able to resist the temptation, or will he succumb to what seems to be the greener grass on the other side? I'm sure that after Wil experiences the wrath of Mimi, he will be requiring a strict background check on his employees from here on out. Trent is your multi-occupational worker. Only problem is, his jobs are a figment of his imagination and change constantly to fit the purpose of winning the heart of the women he is set on getting his dirty paws on. Instead of living paycheck to paycheck, Trent makes ends meet by living woman to woman. Trent is your typical dog who makes his living demoralizing women, and one who may have just barked up the wrong tree. Melanie has literally met her Prince, but will she be too blind to see the good thing that is staring her right in the face? In the game these individuals are playing, there are no "Get out of Jail Free" cards to cash in. A price must be paid. So, for those of you who thrive on those Jerry Springer moments that help make our everyday life experiences seem not so bad, this novel is a must-read. I compare the laughter I experienced while reading this novel to the contractions I endured during childbirth-intense and one right on top of another. In the end, something good came out of both. Weird comparison, I know, but oh so true. I anxiously anticipate his next release, The Preacher's Son, and am sure that it will keep me a loyal fan of Mr. Weber's
