Review: There is so much to like about this book-the engaging voice of the author, the tidbits of history woven into the narrative, the unusual (quirky) characters Mr. Higgs worked with and met on his journey (not to mention his bizarre wife). Richard Higgs is a unique and fascinating storyteller--curious, introspective, intelligent, poetic--not to mention his high sense of irony. This book is a pleasure and a treasure.
