Review: I bought this book as a gift for my 9 year old nephew. When it arrived, I was pleased to see that it was a hard cover book, and the color photographs and maps were great. It seemed to me that kids would have a pretty easy time finding what they're looking for. The information is presented in short segments with headings so you can pick and choose what you want to read. Jack had wanted a book on animals, but I wasn't sure if there would be enough "animal" information in it for him.

As it turned out, he loved the book. He especially liked the variety of maps (which were easy to follow), as well as the photos of animals (both familiar and unfamiliar to him). The book was organized by area of the world, and he seemed to like that organization. He and his brother spent quite a bit of time looking through it, and he said he'd be able to use it for school projects.
