Rating: Summary: Delmarva's Best! Review: This is a wonderful look at a truly vanishing way of life. Each of the people featured in 'Disappearing Delmarva' have an introduction written by the authors that is followed by a description of their life's work in that person's own words. Wonderful photographs of the men and women whose lives fill the pages add an extra dimension to the book. Covering all three parts of the Delmarva Peninsula -- Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia -- the authors have featured not only occupations common to all of America's small towns, like barbers and bakers, but also those more unique to the area, like mail boat captains and seafood shuckers. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in small town America, in the land east of the Chesapeake Bay, or in interesting people.
