Summary: How to eliminate packing that difficult kitchen sink!
Review: I found the author's travel advice for packing light very helpful and right on target. I took a trip to Florida recently and followed the suggested packing advice and had no trouble reducing the amount of luggage to one manageable carry-on bag. I will be sharing this handy travel guide with my daughter, who will be preparing for her honeymoon in Europe soon. This book helps all of us who tend to pack everything - and the kitchen sink!

Summary: What a waste!
Review: I like the packing lists that Beverly listed for each trip. Instead of wondering exactly what she meant, she demonstrates her choices.

I too was an inveterate over packer. But since her book, I have cut down my baggage considerably. Thank you Beverly. I appreciate the lists. Yes, each of us has her own choices, but they can be adapted to what she is saying. I do wish however that she had addressed cruising. There is a virtual endless decision to make about what NOT to bring.

I have only one observation that is not positive. She does need to edit it more carefully for punctuation and grammar.

I have read this book 4 times now and still like it.

Summary: How to eliminate packing that difficult kitchen sink!
Review: I was disappointed in this book, because the really useful information could have been summarized in two pages. The author just keeps repeating herself all the way through the book. On top of that, it is so badly written that I am planning to return it. The author either needs to learn how to write, or needs to hire a good editor.

Summary: What a waste!
Review: I wish I had seen some of the reviews before I bought this book a couple of years ago. I get mad every time I see it in a "search results" list. It is poorly written, badly edited and has very little useful information. But it has made me think that perhaps I could write a packing book...

Summary: Excellent tips for travelling light and looking well-groomed
Review: I've been one of those travellers who has packed far more than ever needed/used on vacation and finally, there is help available! Like the author, I've lived in different parts of the world and travelled throughout and always seemed to face the dilemma: what will I pack and wear? Will I have what I really need for who-knows-what events? What about drastic weather changes? I live in North Central Texas where rapid temperature changes are the norm, and end up changing clothes a couple of times a day on many occasions, but one cannot do that when travelling. Mrs. Mile has given all of us women the exact information on how to pack light, travel light while remaining well-groomed and fashionable! Thanks to her for sharing her tips and for all her hard work and effort!

Summary: very useful and well done
Review: this book gives you the needed tools to be able travel light. Nothing worse than running around with 500 pounds of luggage and only use 1/2 of it. It has the needed bits and pieces to allow the traveler to look stunning and still have room for the gadgets aquired through travel.

Summary: Very badly written author's personal packing list.
Review: This is such a badly written book that I'm returning it. Even if the reader can discount the irritating and prolific use of exclamation marks (something my English grammar teachers taught me were a sign of bad writing), poor grammar and spelling and clearly non-existent proof-reading, the actual content does not live up to the promise of the title, and does not take into account individual differences of potential readers. $15 is too much to pay for a copy of someone else's. packing list. The four-page chapter on the same topic in "Looking Good" by Nancy Nix-Rice is much better value and more easily individualised.
