There are many photos & illustrations from the Civil War as well as modern photos of the battlefields. And thankfully, there are plenty of clear & accurate maps for each battle. This book is essential for Civil War buffs studying the battles/campaigns in Tennessee & is perfect for those who want to tour these battlefields to get a clearer picture. You can read several great books on the battle of Chattanooga, but there's nothing like standing on top of Lookout Mountain!
