Summary: It's like having a tour guide in the car with you!
Review: I am relatively new to the area and have found this book to save me having to sort through all of the many things to do here before I go out. The book is an amazing help in researching many places that I wouldn't have found without it. I carry it in my car because it has so much information and the maps are truly easy to follow. When my husband and I can't think of somewhere fun to go, we get out this book and it has loads of ideas. We have found lots of great places to take the grandkids when we have them. The trips are well planned and with the extra ideas at the end of each day, we have a lot of flexibility if we have more time or something doesn't appeal to us. The book is more up-to-date than most travel books. We found the information, phone numbers, etc. to be very current. I would recommend this book to tourists, but also to locals. When we had company in from out of town, we were busy plannning food, etc. and I just handed them the book and told them to pick something that they would enjoy and we would do it. They were so pleased to be able to pick their own favorites things to do. One day while they were here I had to work. I gave them a copy of this book and told them where the nearest freeway was and they were off on their own for the day. They reported that the book made it easy for them to navigate around and find exactly what they wanted to see. I have always used AAA for my travel information, but I stll had to do so much research before I wound everything in one area that I could see in a day. This book sorts all of that out and I can't wait to do all of the tours.
