Review: Habitat, social structure, diet, rut, life and death. The book has all the basics a person needs to go out to find the elusive Roosevelt Elk. This book is well written by someone who truly knows and understands their Elk. I learn something new every time I read it.The photos of mature bulls is very impressive!

Summary: A good primer
Review: This is a very good beginner's primer on the Roosevelt elk in Olympic National Park. The pictures are beautiful of elk at all stages of life. However, it is a slim book written with the average Park visitor in mind, some good tidbits but not alot of meat. If you're looking for a true hardcore book on the Roosevelt keep looking but go ahead and add this primer to your library as it's references to scientific papers are invaluable.
