Summary: An Excellent Guide to Ireland
Review: A friend of mine gave me this book for my trip to Ireland this year not knowing that I go there every year to visit my Grandmother in Cork. However, it has turned out to be a great resource in any case. 27 years of visits, and this little book is packed with fascinating places I've never heard of. While I expected it to focus on Dublin (and it does, to a degree) the detail about all regions is amazing. But what impressed me most is that the book didn't make me feel like know-nothing tourist. Sure, it includes the Blarney Stone and Dublin Castle, but it has loads of tiny pubs, ruins, and other treasures across the whole island in an easy to figure out format. Fodor's even includes a complete fold-out map.
