Rating: Summary: A Great Vacation Aid Review: Very good reviews and information on hotels and places to eat. Overall, I found the book both 100% enjoyable and useful. This is a great vacation aid. I recommend it to everyone I find going to the World. Can't wait for the encore.
Rating: Summary: Great book, if you are a first time vistor to WDW Review: This book is really good to get a lot of information if you are a first time visitor. However, for us veteran of WDW, this book just isn't for you! It's the same old info. that you can also find in other books. One things that may be convenient, or a security hazard...you can store information in the pockets provided. However, this info. such as hotels, family, tickets, airlines, is really quite a security hazard if you think about it. I would not suggest this book.
Rating: Summary: The best investment for planning your Disney World vacation Review: This book has all you need to plan and execute your vacation. PLUS its a handy way to keep all of your information organized and in one place. Although it keeps to the Disney line (EVERYTHING is great here) it gives you great tips and reviews on everything from the big attractions and how to avoid lines to hidden attractions that may be missed on a hectic schedule. It has been a good way to keep sane during our planning and vacation. However, it does not contain info on off-site lodging and activities, so it will not give you insights into the more economical places to stay or eat. But with the great maps, reviews, tips, and those wonderful passpockets, a little extra research on the web is worth it.
Rating: Summary: PassPorter was incredible on our vacation! Review: Thanks to the PassPorter, we were able to store our touring plans in the front pocket, write in important information, keep papers together, and record our memorable experiences each day! I do not know what I would have done without it... it is truly ingenious. I look forward to ordering another PassPorter and going to Walt Disney World again soon!
Rating: Summary: Most enjoyable read on WDW, great in-hotel reference! Review: We're huge WDW fans and when we bumped into this book, we weren't sure what it'd be like. As soon as I opened it, however, I was hooked. Dave and Jennifer have a great, informal writing style and the book is great fun.I'm not too thrilled about the pockets (we didn't use them since we already have our own method of organizing our travel stuff) but the book travelled with us to WDW and we read it every night, both to compare our experiences with theirs and to prep for the next day of our trip. Overall, highly recommended. Real people who really like WDW talking about what, why and how. Every time I pick it up I want to go back! :-)
Rating: Summary: Very helpful Review: The book has kept me completely organized while planning my next Disney trip. It has excellent info which can be located with ease. The planner in the back with the pockets is super-I have all my coupons and notes in one place.
Rating: Summary: A terrific idea! Review: I have been 'Birnbaum' faithful for many years and didn't think I'd like any other Disney travel book. Boy, was I surprised! I truly love the PassPorter's pocket pages as they save me from wondering where I'll store everything. This book was a terrific idea and I'm glad someone thought of it.
Rating: Summary: Get this only if you are new to WDW Review: It is very light on all ride and event descriptions, not even elaborating on the Halloween and Christmas Parties, Grad Nights, parades and other special events that make WDW so special. It misses the opportunity to describe the viewing locations for parades and fireworks, as well as the "unusual" - talking trashcans, etc.! If you've never been, this book is a place to start. But it really doesn't tell you about the real WDW in enough detail to make travel and touring plans. The hotel descriptions and room recommendations are good, and the pockets would come in handy, but there's just not enough meat.
Rating: Summary: Was the best information on WDW available Review: I opened the book slowly making it as if I was opening a Christmas present. I DID go straight back to the PassPorter pockets. I LOVE THEM!!!! I cant wait to use them, they are wonderful!!! I read this book from cover to cover. (hi-lighter in hand, and skipping lunch as not to get mayonaise on my new PassPorter book) I have to say that this the BEST book by far that I have seen. there's info on the resorts. restaurants, and even things that most people don't even think of doing (ie me) unless its pointed out to them I couldn't believe how much information was in this book!!!! It has maps for ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. Charts on the resorts, food and attractions siting best and worst, prices (for the restaurants), what each "age group" each park would get a kick out of more. (ie couple, singles, family, the young, and last but not least, the young at heart)There are sections for planning, trip notes, budgeting, even an area to get some character autographs I would TOTALLY reccomend this book!!!! It's value is off the charts!!
Rating: Summary: Interesting concept; execution needs to be tweaked a bit Review: This guide is designed to be USED, more so than other WDW guides I have. The pocket pages look like they'll be helpful to plan before, keep track during, and remember after the trip. These pocket pages are the best part of the book; I wish they were sold separately. I don't see myself carrying this whole book around in the parks; it's just too big, unless you take a back pack or tote bag to put it in. The pages for autographs are a waste of space; if I'm interested in autographs, I'll get an autograph book. The ratings/descriptions of restaurants and attractions are not detailed enough - the Unofficial Guide does this much better.
