Summary: Everything you need -- even for experts!
Review: The passporter is easily the best book you can get for a trip to DisneyWorld. It's doesn't insult or butcher like the 'Unofficial Guide', but it isn't biased like the Official Guide. The reviews on the Resorts and Hotels are great with detailed maps and information on everything you need. I would highly recommend this book to anyone at all -- first timers or repeat visitors -- who is visiting DisneyWorld.

Summary: Almost too much information!
Review: The Passporter 2000 for Disney World is a wonderful resource. I bought a copy for my second ever trip to WDW in November of 2000 and found it very useful for organizing and planning all the details of the trip.

It has detailed maps not only of the theme parks, but of the WDW resorts, which really helps when trying to choose where you want to stay and plan your itinerary. And the pockets in the back help you keep all those bits and pieces in one place while you are planning.

The only drawback is that it is a bit cumbersome to carry around the parks with you. Once I had pinned down exactly what information I need from the Passporter, I found it easier to simply copy it, remember it, or remove and carry the pages with me.

Summary: Very Useful as a guide and organizer
Review: I found this to be very useful both as a quick reference guide and as an organizer for receipts and tickets. I wasn't type A enough to use all their pocket tracking and notes, but it was quite handy to try to keep on budget (or at least see where we slipped up.) My only hit on it is that it is too big for easy carrying, a mini-version with one days worth of info space and a small pocket would be great. Overall, a great buy. The information was good and up to date and the pockets were handy.

Summary: Good resource, BUT...
Review: As a 22 time extended stay veteran of WDW, I found this book very detailed in many things. I would caution anyone to ignore the authors rankings of rides and food. I thought they ranked a lot of things low. The Readers Choice rankings are a better veiwpoint. I suggest doing as much as possible and - you make the rank. Pay close attention to the way they ranked food. It can be a little misleading, after all a cheeseburger is a cheeseburger, be careful. The maps and folders are useful to try to remember after your trip what you did and when you did it. I would suggest for first timers to get a Birnbaum's WDW to compliment this book. It gives some details for the attractions that is not in the Passporter. Get all of the facts before going to WDW. Make up your own mind and have a great trip. As for the authors, by looking at the way they ranked some of the rides and food I am curious to why they even like the place.

Summary: A Great Addition to My Collection
Review: This book is great for it's portability and the passpockets are great. It's very handy for all those reservation numbers that you end up with when planning a trip. Before I received the book I kept misplacing those important numbers, but now I have a convenient place to write it all down and I can't wait to use the trip pages as a journal of our trip.

Having said that though, I was disappointed with the limited amount of information on everything. This is a great companion to the Unoffical Guide, but I wouldn't get it as a stand alone unless you're already a WDW veteran.

Summary: Passporter Walt Disney World 2000
Review: As a person who has traveled the world, I find myself many times with an assortment of papers - airline reservation confirmations; rental card confirmation, hotel confirmations plus severval books on the area that I am visiting. Well, for the first time, I have found myself with a book that combines everything about where I am visiting plus provides a section of folders to keep all those papers. While I have been to Disney World 6 times already, this is the first book that I will actual carry around with me throughout the day. The book provides reader reviews in a quick reference plus maps of everything. Why hasn't thought of this before! I can't praise it enough. Hopefully, the publishers will expand to other places and cities that we all visit. Thanks so much for creating this book and a lasting memory for us.

Summary: Super for those who organize
Review: I have tried all the Disney guide books and this is the best one. It has the same concept as the regular spiral edition BUT with the loose-leaf format you can re-arrange things to your preference, toss aside the planning stuff (which is the best anywhere) when you your plans are set. The concept also allows you to add your own pages to the book and keep things like stamps and addresses handy and compact for the trip.

Besides the concept, this book is well-arranged for the planner and the do-er. The planning pages are super and one of the most complete website guides anywhere! There is great information and a wonderful rating system. Checkout their website for updates and specials: passporter.com

Either edition is good but if you like to go to the World frequently or you want maximum flexibility, get the deluxe.

Summary: I found this book a little dissapointing BUT....
Review: it seems like it was generally a big hit with most readers. I think that this may have been possibly because I had been to Disney before and pre-planned everything using the unofficial guide and birnbaums guide. Between those 2 books there is tons more information (altho possibly more than you may want to trudge thru)than in this book. I found this book kind of gimick-y i suppose.... but i do admit that it could be a huge help for those who have never been to disney and dont want to sift thru information from multiple sources (like the 2 books i mentioned)

Summary: The best planning and keepsake book of the new century
Review: I was hesitant at first to order this book but, since I am a die-hard Disney fan, I collect most of all the books on WDW.

When this book arrived, I took the time to sit down and really read it cover to cover. What an excellent surprise!! This has proved to be a treasure just waiting for me to open it.

The information provided by the authors is so complete, you really don't have to buy any other book to plan your visit. It has everything from fold out maps to the "pocket" pages to plan daily itineraries and to keep those annoying little papers (with bits of information you can never find when you need them) stored safely inside the pockets.

Jennifer Watson and Dave Marx have made a mark in the heart of Disney lovers everywhere by updating their book and improving on it constantly. They have a web site to register the book and to keep you informed of the latest and greatest at WDW. I can't say enough about the book and encourage all you fans out there to try it out!!
