She is not afraid to experiment with various polarizing and density filters, which give her images a range of dreamy effects--purple fog lifting off a lagoon, a fiery orange sunset at Paul's Point--and supersaturated colors. This is Shaw's second book of photography of the Vineyard. Her images are strong and colorful, though not always inventive. Still, readers who share her passion for the Vineyard should be happy to peruse this book.
