Rating: Summary: Excellent guide Review: I bought this book berfore embarking on my first trip to London, after I looked at every other available on the market. This book is the best, with good info and tips you will use the moment you step off the plane, as well as colour-coded area sections of London. Better yet, it is compact and concise. No need to weed through wordy papragraphs--eveything one would want at a glance. Comes with a great map. Lots of photos--very smart and colourful. Will definetly buy more form the series as they come available. I can't praise this book highly enough. The best.

Rating: Summary: Not impressed Review: If you are going to be in London for 4 days or less and want to see the sights, this book is not for you. Focusing mainly on bars, restaurant, and shops, this book would be more useful for someone staying there for a while who had copious time to hang out and browse everywhere. The section on tourist places was short and not very informative, though the day/night map in the back saved the book from being a total loss. For a trip to London, I'd recommend getting the AAA Spiral Guide for a small city travel guide, buying a city map, and downloading Vindigo London on your Palm(tm) to get the restaurant, bar, and shop info. It worked well for my second trip out to London, especially Vindigo, which could recommend the nearest good restaurants to exactly where I was standing.

Rating: Summary: A fabulous guide book Review: This guide book is brilliant! It sets a whole new standard in travel guides. If you want any guide book to London, this one is head and shoulders above the rest.
Rating: Summary: Hip, well-informed Review: This guidebook came in very handy on my recent trip to London. The map in the back of the book came in very handy. The book is organized very well and provides plenty of information so that you can plan a fun trip in London. I used this guide and the DK Eyewitness guide to London and I can't recommend both of them enough. Enjoy your travels!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful pocket guide! Review: This is a wonderful pocket guide. What sets it apart from other similar guides is that it contains a large map in a flap at the end of the book.

Rating: Summary: Excellent guide Review: This London guide is the best I've seen so far. It has divisions of the city mapped out, highlighting the best places to eat, shop, club, etc. in each part. I particularly appreciated that it has entrance fees listed to the sites and monuments, and gives you an idea of how expensive the restaurants and shops are. Very helpful. The map isn't the best because it doesn't show every street, and it doesn't show all of London, but it gives you the basic idea and it's probably all you'll need anyway. I highly recommend this guide.
