Rating: 4 stars
Summary: neon nastiness
Review: I am not sure if this book is a work of fiction, a memoir or merely the mad mutterings of someone who has stayed in the Orient for too long - or some combination of the three. But it sure is a good read, I could not put it down and finished it in one sitting and then went back over the really amusing stuff the next day. Tall tales of life in the neon in which the author, Al Culler, seems as happy taking the ...out of himself as he does the punters and the gals. Also quite informative on the inside life of the bars and what the gals get up to and get away with - I never realised, for instance, that if the gals failed to have a medical check many bars merely fined them rather than sacking them. An order of extra strong condoms was duly made.. Needless to say, I put in an order for his other book, Speedin' and will let you know how I get on with that!
