Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Perfect..just Perfect. Review: Suzanne Frank has spent her entire life building up to write this book, and it shows. Her research on Ancient Egypt was extensive and up-to-date. I was drawn into a world of romance and mysticism for an entire day. Time flew by unnoticed because I simply could not leave this book unread! The history is elaborately explored, the characters are intriguing, and the romance is heart-rending. This is that one book I have been searching for years for. It is perfection.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: WONDERFULLY WRITTEN, I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN! Review: Suzanne Frank's first novel, Reflections in the Nile has that intensity of Anne Rice's The Mummy that makes you want to read and read every spare minute until you're done. I loved this book! If you like historical fiction, this book is a must. Biblical and Egyptian history aren't typically my favorite subjects but this novel made it all come alive! I can hardly wait for Suzanne Frank's next novel
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A wonderfully entertaining and informative novel. Review: Suzanne Frank's writing is only surpassed by her research skills and knowledge of the subject matter. "Reflections" is one of those rare novels that are not only fun to read, but interesting and informative at the same time. I can't wait to hear from her again!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: AWESOME BOOK! Review: This book (and the sequels) is very good. The author must have done a lot of research in Ancient Egyptology! I love this book because it tells me a lot about Ancient Egypt and....other adult themes.... the author creates a very realistic image and writes so one simply CANNOT put the book down! This book would probably be rated 'R', and I don't think it is appropriate for young people 15 and under, even though I LOVED it.

The only reason I started reading it was bc it had to do with Egypt but i own and read and reread all her books and am waiting for the newest but last*sniff* book to come out! Buy this book it is worth it! No lie!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Reflections in the Nile - a New Twist on Ancient Egypt Review: This book was refreshingly different. Being an avid reader of all ancient Egypt titles & authors, I didn't think I would like the "time transformation concept". However, the author did a splendid job of creating the character up to the transformation event and thereafter it was totally believable. The book was interesting from start to finish - lagged only a bit once the two main characters, Ra Emhetepet (Chloe) & Cheftu came together as lovers. The chapters referencing the Exodus and bible events with the main characters was not overwhelming but fit into the story. The only negative to me was using the name "Chloe". I had hoped for a time-travel historical reference to a more traditional name for the main character - Margaret. Emily, Sarah etc. Otherwise I would recommend this reading.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: From time travel to one of the best books I have ever read Review: This book went from just another time travel book, to one of the best historical Egypt books I have ever read. The descriptions of both new and ancient Egypt are vivid and easy to picture. I loved the characters and how they changed through the course of the book. Never has history and the Bible been more exciting and interesting! I am looking forward to this author's next book. This book left me almost breathless with anticipation.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Zero stars is more like it....! Review: This is one of the worst books I have ever read! The storyline is promising, the beggining is somewhat engaging, but as the book progresses it becomes very stupid and predictable. The romance storyline is SOOOOOO badly written......!!! The author does have a good grasp (for all I know!) in Egyptian life, but it is about the only decent thing of this book. This is the only book I have actually thrown in the garbage...been embarrased to even sell it on my annual garage sale....
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A sensuous trip to ancient Egypt Review: Well, I'm certainly gald I finally ordered this book! I haven't been able to find it in any bookstore, but I've had my eye on it for awhile. It was definitely worth it. This is a sensuously written love story, and a very interesting account of ancient Egypt and the historical events surrounding the Exodus. Ms. Frank puts an interesting spin on things, altering some of the time-honored perceptions we have about this event. Granted, I don't know all that much about ancient Egypt, so perhaps my perception would have been different if I was more knowledgable. I know that any novel about the Civil War has been absolutely ruined for me because I know a little too much about it...damn my college degree!...but I digress. Reflections in the Nile is a very good read - I finished it within two days. The author really knows how to build suspense and keep the reader guessing, and her descriptions are very lifelike. They almost make you feel a part of the scene. The love story is also handled well, with the romantic tension never ebbing for a moment. And that scene with the honey...well, I wouldn't mind having someone like Cheftu around after that! Although not nearly as emotionally stirring as Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, this is definitely a good alternative while you're waiting for The Fiery Cross. Now I have to go order the second book, Shadows on the Aegean...
