Review: If you plan to visit Antietam National Battlefield, or if you are reading an account of the battle, purchasing this map would benefit you tremendously. On one side of the map is a topographic map of the area, showing the boundaries of the park as well as the surrounding area. Historical homes and farms are marked on the map, as well as the position of every mononument in the park. Being able to see the topography of the battlefield helps you understand how the battle developed. On the other side of the map is a complete Order of Battle for both armies (wargamers take note!) as well as a concise summary of the battle. Several useful tables and charts are included as well. The bottom line is that this is a "must-have" for visitors to the park or for anyone reading about the battle.
