Summary: Discover Tibet through the eyes of travelers..
Review: This book presents many true stories of visits to Tibet. Some are funny, some are cautionary, and some are inspiring. They cover many aspects of the countryside including ancient rituals, pilgrimages, searching for the clouded leopard, and, of course, the Dalai Lama. This isn't a political book. I don't think there needs to be two sides to the story..it consists of many stories-all different. It's a great read and nothing more is needed.

Review: Usually a book from the 'traveler's tale' series will feature a healthy mix of stories of different genre; which enables its reader to understand a nation from many different prospective. However, the stories in this 'Tibet' volume are too politically dominated. I don't think this book present a holistic view on Tibetan culture.
