Summary: Nice book with reservations
Review: I bought this in anticipation of an upcoming visit to Charleston. It is a beautiful brochure more than a book. It does have what appears to be an outstanding selection of retaurants including sample menus ,gorgeous photos, directions and some recipes. I can't vouch for the recommendations yet but I will certainly try several of the featured places when I'm there. My hesitiation is for those who like me was looking for a guide to help select some eating places in Charleston. This may be a bit much under those circumstances and a zagat guide might suffice. However I reserve the right to review again when I return.

Review: I have lived in Charleston for almost three years and have eaten at 95% of the restaurants. This is the first book i have come across that i actually wanted to look through. Working at a hotel in the downtown area i pull out the book when people want some more info on a great restaurant, and the book has nothing but the best places to eat in charleston. I recommend this book to food lovers and anyone visiting the charelston area, for leisure or business.Thank You

With stunning photographs and great content, this book should be required reading for anyone wanting to explore a romantic city and the best of fine dining. Visitors to the city, as well as local resisdents, will have "inside information" regarding the best dining establishments as well as recipes to try at home. Highly recommended.
