Review: MY FRIEND GAVE ME A COPY OF THIS BOOK AND TOLD ME TO READ IT. I AM NOT A BIG TRUE CRIME READER SO I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT, HOWEVER, IT WAS SUCH AN ENGROSSING BOOK THAT I WAS ABLE TO READ IT IN ONE SITTING. I CANT REMEMBER WHEN IVE ENJOYED READING A BOOK THAT MUCH. I AM GLAD THAT THE POLICE WERE ABLE TO SEE THROUGH REGISTER'S LIES AND THE JURY DIDN'T FALL FOR HIS BABY FACE ROUTINE, BUT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE DEATH PENALTY FOR WHAT HE DID TO CRYSTAL I READ IN A REVIEW THAT HUDSON AND HILLS HAS ANOTHER BOOK COMING OUT SOON. YOU CAN MARK A COPY FOR ME SOLD. BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR, I WANT TO READ ALL THEIR BOOKS.

Summary: A Tragic Story In A Small Town
Review: This book was a tragic story similar to what is happening in small towns all across America. Who would have ever believed the good-mannered Ken Register would have turned out to be Crystal's Killer? I'm sure the town of Conway is grateful to the dedicated police officers, detectives, and Prosecuting Attorney Wilson for their investigative work and courage to stop him. Thank God Register was caught after this murder, or there would have been other girls to join her. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a wonderfully researched and written true crime book.

Review: This was one of those books that I read slower and slower as I neared the end, because I was enjoying it so much that I didn't to finish it. It brings the reader into the written page and introduces them to the characters as familiar neighbors from small town america. I recommend An Hour To Kill to anyone who enjoys non-fiction.

Summary: Among The Best True Crime Stories
Review: My wife purchased An Hour To Kill for me as a Christmas present. I am a practicing attorney and thought, "Wow, this is just what I need. Another boring true crime book." Was I ever suprised. Hudson and Hills did a bang-up job depicting Register's character, the tedidious and belabored investigation, and really nailed it as they related the arrest and trial. It was refreshing to read a book so well written and edited that it read like a novel. The verdict is in: An Hour To Kill has been found guilty of being one of the best true crime stories I've ever read.

Review: This book was one of the best true crime books I have ever read. It was unique because not only was it a "true story", but the murder occurred in my home state, a little too close for comfort. Regardless of what Crystal had or hadn't done, she did not deserve to die in this manner. I was glad to read that his Post Conviction Relief was just turned down. Hopefully, now he will spend the rest of his life paying for what he did. The one I feel sorry for the most is Crystal's mom. She will never be able to live in peace on this earth. I think everyone who enjoys reading true stories will thoroughly enjoy this book. I am eagerly awaiting the release of Hudson and Hills new book, A Reason To Live.

Summary: Best True Crime Book I've Read This Year
Review: For months I had heard others in chat groups talk about how good this book was. They were right. I started reading it one morning and didn't quit until I finished at 4 am. I really like the authors' writing style and the way they told the story. The book was interesting from the first page to the last. What really interested me was how Ken Register could watch all those people around him suffer, like her mother, her friends, and his parents, knowing that he had been responsible for it all? How could he bare to face all these people and still serve as a pallbearer at her funeral? What a cold and cruel human being. I will never understand how people like Register can have such disregard for human life. An Hour To Kill was the best true crime book I've read this year. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more books by these two guys.

Review: I live in this town and reading this book for the first time brought back that fear of not knowing what sick person had done this. Crystal was a very bright and happy person whos life here was cut short. Maybe this has brought some understanding to those who said Ken could not have done this. I cried as i read the tributes to Crystal. Rest in Peace Sweet Angel

Review: I thought that this was a really a great book. One reason that I find it interesting is being from South Carolina. The book seemed to go along with the news stories that I had heard at the time of the case. The book was an in depth analysis of the murder. The kind of true criime book that people like to read. I definitely think that Ken Register is guilty. He has a sick mind. The authors did not seem to state their personal opinions. They stated the facts and let the reader draw his own opinion. I am looking foward to another novel by Dale Hudson and Billy Hills.

Review: Dale Hudson and Billy Hills have wrote a book that makes this place I live in more real than any newspaper ever could! It is written in an unabiased way that they can only do. I would recommend this book to all true-crime readers. It is a must read. The story is about one grizzely murder in Horry County, Myrtle beach,SC. And the way it is told by Dale and Billy really gets you involved in what is going on! I give this book one high mark for "must read"!

Review: Author Hudson has written a suspenseful mystery. One knows soon into the book who did it, but the real story is the investigation. This is a true story, hs been noted on Sally Jessie Rafael and one of the major news tv magazines. The murderer is going to have a second trial. Can'nt wait to read it. I belong to a reading club, and this has been a first rate ''pass around' book.
