Summary: You'll Kill More Than an Hour if You Buy This Book
Review: An Hour to Kill comes out of the gate at a full gallop and never lets up until the last page has been turned. Written in a strong narrative style, reminiscent of the very best true crime writers, the authors prove themselves natural born storytellers. Unfortunately the story they tell is true; a tale of a heinous murder in small town America. Hudson and Hills create an almost palpable sense of time and murder was the exception and not the rule; Crystal Faye Todd, the victim, who by all accounts was a typical, fun-loving teenager deeply devoted to her widowed mother; and Ken Register, the "boy next door," a close friend of the Todd family who became the chief suspect. We get to know intimately the minds and hearts of Crystal's and Ken's parents, of the dogged lawmen who were determined to solve the case, and of the attornies who ultimately brought it to its conclusion in a court of law. It is remarkable that this riveting, beautifully written book was the authors' debut in the true crime genre, and I can barely wait to read their next offering. Buy An Hour to Kill -- you may lose some sleep over it, but you won't regret a single wink.

Summary: Excellent Read
Review: Dale Hudson and Billy Hills have crafted a spell-binding account of a tragic incident. Real life was put on the back burner for the hours I read this and couldn't put it down. How Ken Register's guilt can be doubted is beyond me.

Summary: Suspenseful
Review: One Hour to Kill gave me the chills! His writing is so vivid, I felt I was looking over the shoulder of the police investigators. Mr. Hudson invades the minds of his characters. It is scary to know what is happening and feeling the emotions with them. Read this book! You won't forget it.

Summary: An Hour to Kill
Review: Dale Hudson's account of this crime story is both informative and thrilling. The story of a shocking crime in a small town, this is a story that is a must-read for all true crime fans. When a popular girl in a small town was killed, everyone was in shock, but what was even more of a shocker was who the jury convicted for the crime. An Hour To Kill accurately tells the story of the crime unbiasedly, step-by-step, to the most recent of events in the area.

Summary: A Chilling True Account Of Murder In a Small Town
Review: After years of reading true crime novels, I have to admit that I'm impressed with Dale Hudson's 'An Hour To Kill'. It was not only informative, but written with a view toward introducing the reader to the characters in a very personal way. After having lived in the southern part of the U.S. myself, I fully understood the problems that law enforcement officials had while investigating this 'christian' boy. And, after having read many accounts of serial killers, the notion that a seemingly 'normal' young man like Ken Register could have killed like he did, is no surprise either. Although the evidence shows that Ken Register, by far, was the killer, I appreciated the professional way in which Mr. Hudson refrained from stating irrevocably that the boy was the killer and left the conclusions to the reader. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys crime novels. Bravo Dale!

Summary: AN Hour to Kill
Review: I loved this book! I could not quit reading it. I have read many "True Crime" books, however this is one of the BEST. I feel the authors did a wonderful job in their research and their objectivity in writing this book. Hard to believe Ken is still denying his guilt!

Summary: For True Crime Afficionados'
Review: Written like a novel but crammed with all the facts of a good true crime book. I recommend *An Hour to Kill* for all the true crime afficionados' like myself. I really enjoyed the way the authors presented the crime and explained how the killer was finally caught.

Summary: True Crime At Its Best!
Review: An Hour To Kill is one of the best true crime novels I have ever read. It is the the type of book where you seize the moment to read it and you don't want to put it down until you have read every word. Then you want to go back and read it again because you don't want it to end. This book is charged with an excitement that sends goose bumps running up and down your spine. It is a thriller that chills the reader to the bone. I highly recommend it to all true crime readers and anyone interested in a good mystery.

Summary: GREAT BOOK! YOU GOTTA READ IT!
Review: I AM FROM CONWAY AND KNOW THE REGISTER FAMILY. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN HARD FOR ME TO ACCEPT THAT KEN COULD HAVE DONE THIS. AFTER READING THIS BOOK, THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT HE IS THE MURDERER. HE DESERVED THE ELECTRIC CHAIR FOR THE HEARTLESS AND BRUTAL WAY HE ENDED CRYSTAL'S LIFE.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Truth IS Stranger than fiction
Review: This book based on a true story had me glued to my chair. Once you start this book there is no way that it can be put down. I can see Hollywood beckoning for this story as it has more twists and turns than any Author could dream of. I am looking forward to Mr Hudson's next novel with baited breath a name to keep your eye out for.
