Review: Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune on good food. My experience has been that the best food is generally at the little hole-in-the-wall places. "Cheap Chow Chicago" gives you a little of both- restaurants with entrees ten bucks and under, and those that are fifteen bucks and up. Chicago is one of the best cities to visit for a smorgasbord of electic dining, and this book covers it all- from late-night Latin food to African, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Chinese, Sushi, and the fave cheap hangouts in Bucktown (my favorite place to go for food). Even if, like me, you're from Chicago, you should check this book out. Chances are, you'll miss these little Mom and Pop places when driving through the city. E.G. I'd never heard of Cafe Croatia, but am making a date with my husband to go out there this weekend. If I hadn't gotten this book, I'd never have known. Have some fun- become a tourist in your own town and get "Cheap Chow Chicago".
