Anyone who is contemplating spending the sum of money necessary to travel to Hedonism II, should first spend $19.95 to buy the book as it is a complete manual for the trip. Summary: Naked Truth: Wickedly Worth It
Review: My husband and I toyed with the idea of going to Hedo II for years, but wanted to better understand the dynamics and "expectations" of this resort before we committed. "Naked Truth" offered tips on everything from nude beach photography protocol and resort security, to hot tub flirting and sex, or "thanks but no thanks" etiquette. It's packed full of facts and fun stories that make you feel like you've already been there. From the very first, this sexy book puts you right in the middle of the hot, hot, hottest (and most talked about) resort in Jamaica. You'll know you're experiencing it through the eyes of an "insider" before you get to the second page. Full of facts, fun, and some wild, color photos, Santilli's book is a must-have for anyone considering a trip to Hedonism II. Or for the armchair traveler yearning for a glimpse of what really goes on inside this magical, wild world where fantasy eclipses reality and eroticism reigns supreme.

All I can say is after reading this, we're confident this trip will be whatever WE make it. We're now booked and looking forward to our "virgin" trip!

Summary: Great Resouce for first time visitors!
Review: My wife and I bought Santilli's book before our first trip to Hedo II, and found it to be a very practical guide to getting the most out of the vacation. It also gave us some insights into what to expect from the "scene", and reduced some of the anxiety my wife experienced prior to arrival. Anectdotally, once at Hedo and in the hot tub we met a couple who were also on their first trip to Hedo and had consulted "The Naked Truth" beforehand. The book actually made for a conversation starter and an ice breaker. And after the trip it's fun to flip through the book, sort of like paging through one's high school annual. Other than sunscreen, aloe and analgesics, this book is top of the list of things to take with you on your first trip to Hedo.

Summary: a fun-filled romp about what goes on at Hedo II in Jamaica
Review: These people gave written permission for their reviews of the book to be made public:

"We just got our copy yesterday and can't put it down. We want to read it together, but are finding the other sneaking ahead, when the other is busy. The book is fun, informative, and very entertaining. We recommend it to anyone who is going for the first time, like us."
--Pat and Craig Newton, Orange, Calif.

"I started reading the book immediately and almost got in a car accident on the way back to work because I wasn't paying attention as I was trying to read and drive at once. Showed the book to my co-worker, who has been jealous of my Hedo trip, and about 20 minutes later I almost had to pull her hair to get her to give it back to me. She was engrossed. Finished it tonight. Missed ER. You know what that takes? Loved it. Laughed out loud many times, read parts out loud to whomever would listen, and now want to get back to Hedo even more than I did before."
--Cindy Braatz, Waterloo, Iowa

"The Hedo II book is like an ice cream cone...totally delicious, you'll savor every lick, so good that you want to gulp it right down but you also want to make it last as long as possible...for the disappointment of not wanting to see it end. Great job."
--Bob Yerks, Plainview, N.Y.

"The Naked Truth About Hedonism II is a must-read for anyone who's been to Hedo, wants to go to Hedo, or thinks the resort is all wrong for them. As soon as I read it, I couldn't wait to go back-I've already made my reservations! People who've never been there before are always asking me questions about it. Santilli answers them all with tons of great anecdotes. She sums up the essence of Hedo and its goofy guests-which I've been! Her tips-about everything from what you might not know to bring to how to get rid of the Residudes to finding beach towels-bring to life a hotel that is not accurately portrayed by most media."
-!-Jim Grinstead, Milwaukee, Wisc

"I received The Naked Truth about Hedonism II and immediately set about reading the book from cover to cover. Having been to Hedonism II twice, and currently waiting through this prison sentence of 90 or so days between our reservations and the our '98 trip, it's nice to be entertained with stories of that little Jamaican resort that has captured so many of us in a grip so tight that it's hard to contemplate vacationing elsewhere.
"Ms. Santilli's expose of Hedonism II is similar to the resort itself-wildly intriguing, always entertaining, and sure to please some and offend others. As a written guide to Hedo, it accurately described the resort, the many types of guests, what you should expect if you've never taken a vacation there, without deteriorating into a cacophony of second-hand stories of wild stories (though there are a few). The book is peppered with anecdotes throughout, no doubt gleaned in part from the AOL Hedonism II message board, as well as Chris' friendships with some of the more colorful of that group known as 'Repeat Offenders' (to which I now belong).
"What you won't find is graphic prose describing intimate encounters or wild tales of late-night hot tub antics. Nor will you find much in the way of titillating gossip, or tell-all discourses on sexual escapades. Gratefully, Ms. Santilli has concentrated on describing the flavor of the resort, not on the tedious ingredient list. She does, however, describe the 'main ingredients'-the returning organizations of friends, the unique characters who frequent the resort on an annual, and sometimes much more frequent, basis. Having been there several times, that was interesting to me.
"I especially enjoyed the section about Games to Play on the Nude Beach. I'm sure they have all been played at one time or the other and will look into arranging our next vacation to coincide with a more lively group just to see the Games.
"All in all, if you! enjoy Hedo, or think you would, it's an entertaining book and will probably hold a few tidbits even for those of you who have been there a dozen times or so. If you're thinking about Hedo, and want more information about the resort, and what goes on there, I recommend it highly. On the other hand, if you're looking for stories and pictures of a sexual nature, I recommend you go buy an adult magazine.
"After reading it, I can't wait to go again. Had I not been there before, I would be intrigued, amused, and reaching for the phone."
-Doug, Austin, Texas
