Review: This is a collection of stories about people the author met during his trips along the road the years before writing this book. The author is also the founder of the Route 66 Association of Illinois and as such he has a great focus on the underlying fabric of the old route. This book is a somewhat more of a local interest publication perhaps. The stories themselves are excellent, especially for any Route 66 enthousiast. Since it's a collection the reader will like some of them better than the rest, but perhaps that's the nicest feature about the book.
