Rating: Summary: Something to look forward to Review: As a long-time travel editor and first-time mother-to-be, I found this book to be a tremendous relief--it's possible, I've discovered, to actually have a wonderful time traveling as a family. Rather than dread what I'd assumed was the obligatory annual trip to Florida's theme parks, I'm now anticipating taking my child to all the wonderful parts of the world I've visited and want to return to, as well as those I've only read about. This book has been a true inspiration and, during these last weeks when I actually can't get on a plane, a light at the end of the tunnel!
Rating: Summary: You need not have a family to enjoy this book. Review: Hearing that I was planning a vacation which included extensive travel, a friend gave me this delightful book. As I prepared for my trip, I read the articles which dealt with places I'd visit. Since returning home, I've read most of the other pieces. I assure you that you need not be traveling with family to enjoy these 'Family Travel' adventures.
Rating: Summary: a travel guide to enjoy wherever you are Review: I loved this book, especially The Cheese Sandwich That Changed My Life. What a wonderful story! There is something for everyone in this collection. I've already bought a couple copies as gifts for family and friends.
