Summary: The author knows her stuff
Review: Our family is major Disney freaks.....I buy this book every year and rely on Kim Wright Wiley's advice for everything from picking our hotel to planning how we'll break up the trip. Last year we did the new Universal Park (Islands of Adventure) for the first time and found Wiley's chapter to again be right on the money in terms of rides, shows, and restaurants.

Summary: Better than Birnbaum!
Review: Our family purchased the 1994 as well as the 1996 editions for both of our Walt Disney World trips. The books were well researched, informative and a life-saver (especially for a first-time tourist to Disney!). Kim tells it like it is, so her reviews are accurate, trust me!! If she says that an attraction "might bore kids under age 10", then it will!!! We will use her most current book for our next trip to Disney. Because of her help and insight, we have been able to visit Disney World twice. She showed us ways to make this kind of trip affordable, even for a family of 5! Thanks, Kim

Summary: A great place to start
Review: Since we take so few vacations, I like to make sure they're planned well so everyone gets the most out of them. I bought 3 Disney books (Unofficial Guide by Sehlinger and Birnbaum's 2001 edition too) but this is the one I found most useful for planning a trip with a 4 & 6 year-old. The tips saved us $1000 on room costs alone! The reviews of the Disney and off-site hotels offer useful details not found on websites. The excellent ride reviews feature details to help parents determine if it's too scary for your child (tells you if dark, noisy, surprise elements, etc) - not just a generic "may scare children under age 5" warning. The book is fun & easy to read... and with her realistic advice for visiting Disney with kids, you'll have more fun and be less stressed-out on vacation than if you did it without her book.

Summary: Great Scare Factor!
Review: The scare factor in this book was one of the best, and most accurate I have found in any travel book, Disney or non-Disney. It was easy to follow and extremely helpful in saving the usually scared child. It's behond that of any other book.

Summary: My favorite book on Disney - all the answers you need!
Review: This book gives the reader the best tips and tricks for touring all areas of Disney. We learned not only about each attraction, but when to visit each one. Finding out which places to visit and when was extremely helpful. Having a clear plan before heading out saved us so much time; we saw much more than most other tourists we spoke to. I highly recommend this book to anyone going to Disney with children. The author really knows how to get the most from the Disney experience and shares this insight with the reader. Believe me, this book really pays for itself in the long run. Enjoy!

Summary: Very comprehensive advice
Review: This book is full of good advice for anyone planning a trip to WDW. Some are more obvious than others, but always good to hear before you be sorry for forgetting that. The quality of the information is outstanding. You'll want to make a resume of it, but it'll end up almost as big as the book. Better take it with you. I've seen other books of this kind and can say this is the one and only you may need if you want to please your kids and satisfy yourself at WDW. I'd buy it again.

Summary: Walt Disney World With Kids, 2000
Review: This is the third edition of this book that I have bought. I love the format of them. They are imformative, yet entertaining. I am a "planner", and this helps keep me organized. We had made the major decisions of where to eat & where to go when in advance. I've been a Disney fan for years as are my children now. This book gave helpful tips when it came to deciding where & when to do things. I highly recommend it & look forward to the next edition.

Summary: Excellent,t easy to use, informative book.
Review: This was a very informative book that was very easy to use. All of the suggestions were very helpful. It is a must read before you visit. I felt like my family of four hade a much better visit than if we hadn't read the book. The book helps prepare you for the myriad of choices you have at Disneyworld. We had not been to Disneyworld before, and the book helped us to have our best vacation ever!
