Summary: Wish I had known 2001 version is available...
Review: I ordered this book a week or two ago and found the information to be extremely useful. However, I noticed that the book was written in 1999 and some things could probably be updated. Since we will not be going until January, I was wishing that I had waited for the newer version. Today I saw the new version and realized that I should have looked harder before I ordered the 2000 version. On the plus side, I did save a couple of dollars and I don't think that much changed.

Summary: Very clear, very helpful
Review: I wasn't too psyched up about taking the kids to Disney World - a family duty, right? Fortunately, we got our hands on a copy of this book a week before we went. Kim Wright Wiley gives good practical advice on how to cut down your time waiting in line, which rides to do first, and how to avoid the crowds. Even though we were there on spring break, we saw a lot of stuff. My only regret was we didn't get the book in time to take her advice on hotels and what time of year to go! Next time - yeah, I'm a convert - we'll buy the book before we plan the trip.

Summary: Terrific!! She knows what she's talking about!
Review: I went to Disney World and she helped me more than any other book I've ever read about Disney World. She used her own experiences which helped me plan what my family and I wanted to do without planing to much or to little. This book is a must!!

Summary: Disney World with Kids
Review: I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone planning to visit Disney World. I received my book just days ago, but have been enjoying it along with other members of my family. But I knew I would love it even before I got it, because, I had read a previous version of the authors Disney World guide about seven years ago. We followed her tips for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and MGM and had a marvelous time. Following her tips made our trip a real time to remember-it saved us time, saved us stress and probably saved us money. All I can say is if you tackle Disney World with your kids without reading this book and using its well thought out tips, you will be sorry! Excellent, excellent book.

Summary: Well organized, readable - and funny!
Review: I'd like to go through Disney World with Kim Wright Wiley! Her book is well organized and gives just the kind of information a mother of three (me) needs, but you can also tell she is a mother herself and has really been in the situations she describes. So I trust her advice about what is worth my time and money, what ride is going to scare my 6-year-old, the best hotel, etc. A refreshing change from the usual dry travel guide.

Summary: Essential Information for the Traveling Parent
Review: If Walt Disney were alive today, he'd be using this book to find his way around. The amount of time and money saved far exceeds the cost. Practical, engagingly written, its a must have for anyone braving travel with the kids.

Summary: Don't leave home with out it
Review: If you do one thing before leaving for Disney World - read this book. The advice is excellent from the hotel reviews to the ride recommendations. I took my 3 1/2 year old and followed the author's advice on all rides with the exception of one ... 8 months later he is still mentions how scared he was during it! If you think you can get by with the information that Disney supplies, you can't, they provide no description or age recommendations. Without the book we would definitely have made many more inappropriate decisions. I shared the book with a friend who felt it wasn't really necessary ... she called me from the park to thank me.

Summary: You'll be sorry...
Review: if you try to go to Disney without this book. One click it now! For all Disney pilgrims and novices this is the Bible. Ms. Wiley provides witty and insightful information that you must have when traveling with children to WDW. I carried this book with me through the park and felt like I had my own personal guide cherrfully moving me along. These 480 pages are packed with practical information that is easy to access on the run or while waiting in line. The descriptions of the Disney hotels are right on target. Ms. Wiley described Dixie Landings as the place where Huck Finn and Scarlett O'Hara would honeymoon. I do believe I even saw Rhett roaming the grounds! To the author-my children and I thank you for your wonderful book. We'll buy every edition!

Summary: BUY IT AND TAKE IT IN YOUR BACKPACK TO THE PARKS!
Review: Just returned from a week at Disneyworld using this book as a guide. Author is right on the money concerning wait times, scare factor, how to see the parks, etc. Study it before you go, then take it with you to refer to while in the parks. Best money you will spend doing Disney!

Summary: Clear, helpful, advice...mother to mother
Review: My family goes to Disney World every other years so we pretty much know the ropes....but I still buy the latest version of Wiley's guide before each visit. I find her hotel evaluation to be especially helpful, since we like to stay at a different Disney hotel each time we go. She lists pluses and minuses for each hotel, as well as information on how to get to the theme parks from each hotel. Many of the other guides make it seem like all the hotels are alike (or at least equally wonderful) but Wiley helps us sort it out.
