Rating: Summary: A great guide for anyone who is planning to visit Colorado Review: I bought this book as a gift for a friend of mine considering a relocation to Colorado. She absolutely loved the book and plans to use it during a fact finding trip in Colorado.
Rating: Summary: Good information for both out of staters and in-staters Review: The book provides the reader excellent information to use in planning a trip to Colorado or for making changes to your itenary once you're already visiting. The flow of the book allows one to pick an area to preview or to look-up key cities in the region to learn more info. Ideally, we have used the book to help us get a plan together and to establish timelines for visiting essential Colorado hotspots. This book is a must for anyone coming to visit the state and who wants to first get an overview of the area and activities available. It covers offroading, hiking, biking and sight seeing. The only lapse we can find is in providing the reader some online places to fill-in any updates. If you're a native Coloradoan use the book to help setup a plan of attack for your visiting relatives.
Rating: Summary: Exactly what I was looking for!! Review: The Colorado Guide (5th edition) is exactly what I was looking for in a Colorado guide book. Besides giving your usual guide information for Colorado, it also included some of the more unusual places to check out, like the Wheeler Geological Site for example, near Creede, CO. Wonderful history stories of areas of interest, and food and lodging info/ratings also. I use it to find new ares to explore and as a reference. I highly recommend The Colorado Guide, especially if your looking to explore this beautiful state.
