Rating: Summary: The Authority on the Wichitas Review: Even if all you do is stay on the highway or enjoy an occasional picnic in one of the many picnic areas, this is a wonderful book that shares the rich history of the area. But, if you want to discover the true wealth of the Wichitas then this book is a "must have"! Mr. Ellenbrook's thoughtful presentation of the history of the area makes for interesting reading but for the more adventurous it ignites an excitement to put on the hiking boots, get out the daypack, and hit the trails to see history for yourself. His book is so full of hikes and adventures it could easily take a year or more of weekends to see it all. Some, like the "rock rooms" may take a four, five, or even more trips to locate them. But finding them is half the fun.
