Review: 'Rescue' carries on the series' tradition of choice excerpts (19) from well-and lesser-known authors. Therein lies the beauty of this series - I had never heard of Spike Walker (!) but after reading the riveting excerpt in 'Rescue' I ran out and bought both his books. Two of the selections are fiction, not my taste, but the other 17 tales of peril, shipwrecks, avalanches and plane crashes will have you reading all night. The stories range from professionals who take one risk too many to everyday folks who find themselves over their heads without warning. A great gift book for anyone who thrives on adventure and especially if you you know someone in search/rescue or the Coast Guard. Get all the books in this series - I have and I love 'em!
