Rating: Summary: Well worth the investment of time and money Review: I purchased this book last summer and just recently I was upgraded on my first flight...it was nice. This book is not a quick panacea for travel but is worth the read, and investment of time and money.
Rating: Summary: Not worth the money Review: Felt it was a waste of money--not much info that most seasoned travelers don't know. I plan to donate my copy to local library for their junk-book sale. The part about flying 1st class at coach prices was laughable & utterly unrealistic.
Rating: Summary: ... Not accurate advice Review: ...Very unrealistic. I tried his advice and just got laughs. We travel a lot and have learned that there is only one world in travel; you get what you pay for (or use legal upgrades). The writer also tells you things you already know to be true... travel off peak is cheaper. I do not need a book to tell me this. This book is the king's new clothes
Rating: Summary: Buy if you plan to travel!!! Review: This was an invaluable resource and wealth of information. It allowed me to travel overseas in 1st class for less than $625. Then I stayed at all 5 star hotels, for the cost hostels. It’s good stuff.
Rating: Summary: Not A gimick Review: I thoroughly learned a gained from this book. Not like the preceding reviewer!
Rating: Summary: The Zen of Traveling Graciously Review: This book quite simply changed how I travel, from how I talk to ticket agents on the phone to how I talk to the bellhop, to my attitude about crisis on the road. It's a book about how to behave and how to communicate and how to be happy on the road as much as it is about getting first class service and amenities.

Rating: Summary: A small investment towards potentially great rewards Review: "The Penny Pincher's Passport provides the reader with the experience needed to obtain added value and quality to their travels...be it business or vacation. It is extremely informative and is a small investment towards potentially great rewards." -Clifford J. Naeole, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua
Rating: Summary: You don't have to be rich to travel in luxury! Review: I was amazed by how much I learned from this book. The author reveals all kinds of secrets on how to have a first class travel experience at coach prices. The book covers a wide range of topics, from how to fly first class for the price of a coach ticket and how to get a luxury suite for the price of a regular room, to how to rent a Cadillac for the same price as an economy car! Packed with advice, tips, and easy, step-by-step strategies, this book showed me how to stop settling for mediocrity and start traveling in style. Anyone who follows Joel Widzer's tried and true advice will learn how to travel in a manner they only dreamed of before--and without having to win the lottery.
