Summary: Not much more "bang for the buck"
Review: If you've got the second edition - you don't need this edition. There's only a few new photos and stories, not up to the hype of the publisher. Save the money for your next vacation.

Summary: The essential Hedo II primer
Review: My wife and I went to Hedo II for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a great time in spite of the weather(a tropical storm blew through). Before going we heard rumors and read some things about Hedo II, but really didn't know what to expect. After we returned I ordered the Naked Truth About Hedonism II and realized how much we missed and how uninformed we were. We would have been fully prepared and knew exactly who, what, when, where, and how to do virtually everything at the resort and in Negril, had we read the book first. The book is a must have for any visit to Hedo. Aside from all the valuable info provided, the book is a riot to read and full of great photos. The people and events made for some of the funniest reading ever. Chris Santilli did an outstanding job of collecting and organizing information for the book and this could only have been done by a seasoned expert. As we plan for our return trip we are rereading to ensure we are fully prepared for maximum fun. Thanks Chris, great job!

Summary: Best book I've ever read
Review: Prior to my first trip to Hedonism II, I purchased the book. I read it 6 times before my arrival. Every day I was there something I experienced was followed by the words "just like in the book". The book really hits the nail on the head. I knew exactly what to expect and not expect. I've made 5 trips there so far and I have to thank the author for writing such an informative book. Even if you have no plans of going there, you'll laugh your butt off reading the stories about what goes on at Hedo II

Summary: Premature publication......
Review: Sorry but the latest edition is not really updated for 2004. The hotel is undergoing major renovations so the update is very premature. 2005 would have been better. Why the rush? A few new photos of the author and her sig/other and some small facts don't make the sale. We purchased the book at the hotel. If
you've been and got the first or second book, you're fine.

Summary: There are three kinds of people at Hedo II
Review: There are three kinds of people at Hedo II.

The most unfortunate are those who have never read Chris Santilli's guide and have arrived ill-prepared to take advantage of all the fun, never get a good chair reserved on the beach, try to get reservations at the specialty restaurants on nights they're closed, and generally don't get clued in until it's time to leave.

The next group are "Hedo veterans" and those who have purchased this hilarious, all too accurate and necessary guide to having the most fun at the wildest, most wicked resort imaginable. The latter can be recognized by big smiles, genuine laughter, and a look of satisfaction they have from knowing as much as the "Hedo veterans" by being prepared.

Then there are the true savvy travelers. Any smart traveler worth his/her frequent flier miles relies on an up-to-date travel guide to get the very most out of a vacation. Chris Santilli's most recent update, although not a major revision, furnishes a bit more information and corrects information that is no longer accurate. In the breezy, conversational tone of this guide, the author often tells us tidbits about named staff at the resort. The 4th edition takes into account recent staff adjustments as well as other changes. There are also some new pictures.

We gladly purchased the 4th edition which, like the 2001 version, answered so many of our questions before our recent first trip. This new version just answered them with a greater degree of accuracy and we're glad we purchased the update before leaving. We'll pass our older version on to one of our many friends who seem to think their 1978 Fodor's works just fine, then are puzzled when we seem to have a much better time wherever we go.

Support this shoot-from-the-hip, fun-loving go naked gal who is the only author telling it like it is when it comes to Hedo. Buy the 4th edition and begin the countdown to your first, second, or umpteenth trip.

Summary: Shhhhh... the people back home think I'm at Grand Lido......
Review: This book is hilarious and insightful. Whether you're just curious about Hedo II or a repeat guest from the 70's everyone will enjoy reading this book. As most repeat guests know, Hedo is what you make it to be...and the FUN people are on the NUDE side! Having stayed at Hedo II numerous times, I have always met great people who I stay in touch with after coming back home. This book can help the newbie's prepare for their first visit and provides a lot of fun reading for everyone. Hedo II is THE most interesting and fun resort in the world ... and this book does a great job at capturing its essence.

Summary: Worth Reading Even if You're Not Going
Review: This book is hilarious! Chris writes in a very conversational tone that makes you feel like she's a friend telling you about her favorite, but very naughty, vacation spot. My wife and I are going to Hedo for the very first time this year and we've both read the book. We feel almost like we've been there already! This book is definitely worth reading even if you don't plan to make the trip to Jamaica. But be warned, if you do read it you'll definitely want to go!!!

Summary: Love this book!
Review: This book is more than a fabulous and witty travel guide. It's a guide for everyone on how to party--and how to party naked! The photos are eye-opening and the stories (or Tales from the Naked City, as the author calls them) will make you laugh non-stop. The book is perfect for folks who've never been to Hedo and those, like me, who are 10-time repeat guests. The book is even perfect for voyeurs who will never go to Hedo. The author tells it like it is. Never have I read a more on-target report of Hedonism II. TV shows sensationalize Hedo. This book gives balance but will still amaze you. It tells the incredible (and true! I know some of the folks in the stories) stories that even the TV shows don't tell.

Summary: Everyone should read this book!!!!!!
Review: This book is more than a travel guide, it's a how-to manual for having a good time in life (especially while playing naked!). Although the book is long--almost 400 pages--it's a quick, fun read. You'll probably reread it because you'll be amazed the first time you go through it. I've been to Hedonism II countless times, and this book is on the money for accuracy. The tips are priceless on many levels--for beginners and folks like me. Read this book before going to Hedo to hit the ground running at this unique resort, and then read it again afterwad to relive your vacation and start planning your net one. It even has info about Hedonism III included. The color pictures give a good feel for both the look of the property and the guests insane antics.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Like being there all over again!
Review: This book was very informative and really details what the Hedo vacation can be. The storys from the guests were very funny. I truly felt like I was back at Hedo while I was reading this book. I can't wait until my next Hedo vacation.
