Summary: A must read if you have never been
Review: I could not put this book down! I rarely find time to read, and yet I found myself reading this when I had more pressing stuff to read. I was an addict! It has some basic information that is available elsewhere on th internet, but you would otherwise have to hunt and peck for it, and some info is not as reliable as Santilli's. The stories add a tremendous amount to the enjoyment of this book and the insight into Hedo II's inner workings. Some of the advice is intuitive, some is not so obvious. Regardless, thanks to Chris' book, I am more excited than ever about my upcoming trip, I am armed with the right attitude, I know what the acceptable behavior boundaries generally are, so I am ready to roll. Rest, Relaxation, New and Friendly people, good conversation, and fun activities are all my destiny. Thanks Chris!

Review: I do not buy travel books, hate them. They take all the mystery away from a trip. However, since I am going to visit Hedo II and was curious I bought this book.Chris Santilli really knows how to give you the straight, honest information about the place and makes it fun to read. There are many funny stories accompanied with numerous useful advice. She gives an honest appreciation of the foibles and highlights of the place. Reading this book makes me feel well-prepared for my trip. I know what to look forward to, what to be careful about, what to bring and not bring, what to do and not do to get the most out of my trip. If you are going to invest that kind of money in a trip like that, getting this book first is probably the best thing you could do. Consider it as a good investment, good preparation, good research, good fun.

Summary: what a laugh-riot!
Review: I had only bought the first edition of this book so many years ago when it came out. This second edition brings back fond memories of having been to Hedonism II just last month...I highly recommend this book for both newbies and and repeat offenders alike--I laughed aloud in so many parts and kept saying aloud "yes yes yes, finally folks can know what I've known for so long." Read this book if you can't afford a trip--read this book if you can afford a trip...you won't regret it. I've reread it twice and I just received the book a week ago.

Summary: A must for the Hedo curious
Review: I have been curious about Hedonism for several years, and I really wanted information that the resort's website did not provide. This book provides a light, informative view from the perspective of someone who has clearly visited many times. The book answered many of my basic questions: what kind of people visit Hedonism; what are the differences between Hedonism II and III; what are the least expensive times of year to visit; what is a typical day at Hedonism II; and more! If you are considering visiting Hedonism II, this book is a must read!

Summary: Nothing new other then a few color photo's
Review: I have read the Hedonism II 2ed and I thought it was funny and packed with a lot of information which was helpful for me. But when I heard there was a updated 2nd edition coming out I was ready to read some more information and the great stories. But I found out most of the stories are the same and the only big thing different with this book is a few more photo's and there color. It is not worth wild of spending your money to see photo's and nothing else new in the book. Now I know there are a lot of problems in writing but if you have a updated book then shouldn't it have more stories in it if you are going to call it updated. For me I don't speak for the rest of the people that buy these books but save your money and just picture in your head a color photo of the black and white's in the First 2nd edition and you can save some money. But I give this book a one because there is nothing really new for me and any one else that follows will find out it is hard to just give away money to something that is not really updated.

Summary: The Naked Truth About Hedonism II (2nd Edition, Updated)
Review: I recommend this easy read to both Hedo veterans and potential guests. The repeaters will recognize themselves and their adventures and the future repeat guests will thank Chris for not only the helpful hints on the basics, but for the frank, funny, and somewhat outrageous tales that occur at Hedonism on a daily basis. No one could make these things up. I have several favorite stories from the book about various couples meeting the loves of their lives there. We (spouse and I) have been to many weddings of Hedo couples.....some in Jamaica and others here in the US, but these same couples return year after year. I only wish the book was available for our first trip to Hedo in May of 1984. We didn't have pins or belts for toga night. Now on our 40th trip, we are much better prepared. Some things come with experience, but having an 'unofficial guide' certainly helped!
Fun read, good information, very entertaining.......what more could you ask for?

Review: I've been to Hedonism and LOVED it, so when I came across this book, I had to buy it to see if it was accurate. It was. In fact, I wish I had bought the book before my trip. I'd recommend it if you're considering going to Hedonism and I'd also recommed "Swinging for Beginners", too becuase it also has one chapter (small) on Hedo. But this one definitely needs to be read before you go.

Summary: Pulls you in to the wild, wacky world of Hedo 2
Review: If I hadn't gone to Hedo 2 recently (largely on the basis of this book), I'd have been sceptical that all that was described so deftly and humorously by Chris Santilli was real. Reading the book, the stories just seemed too good (or bad!) to be true. Santilli has created a world and brought it to the comfort of your armchair. Even if you never set foot in Hedo 2, you'll enjoy reading this book. But if you do take the plunge and go to the land that Santilli has described, you'll be thankful for this guide, which is at the same time a useful reference manual and an honest appraisal of what Hedo 2 is really like - warts and all!

Review: If you're contemplating a trip to HedoII this is the book for you. Don't believe anything you see on the Springer shows. This IS the truth and hilarious to boot! If I'm every down in the dumps, I pick this book up and read a chapter or two. Makes me feel better instantly! Chris has a way with words like none other I know. Can't wait for the 3rd edition!
