Summary: Pura Vida !
Review: We had the pleasure of reading "Pothole to Paradise" and thoroughly enjoyed Tessa Borner's personal account of transition into Costa Rican life. Her book weaves through the trails and tribulations of individuals finding their way through cultural and bureaucratic differences. This book also covers Tessa and Martin Borner's experiences with insight to some the problems and joys of daily living during the construction of their Bed and Breakfast " Posada Mimosa ". It is an enjoyable read that we would recommend to all those considering a move to Costa Rica or for those just wanting some insight to travel and things to see within Costa Rica.

Summary: Potholes to Paradise - life as it really is in Costa Rica
Review: We stayed for six weeks in Costa Rica and found Tessa Borner's book to be "right on the money" in describing the pros and cons of living there. The book is an invaluable guide to anyone planning to move to CR - even for tourists it's a mine of useful info. Her style whips the reader right along and the comments by those who have gone through the moving and settling in process are apt and thought-provoking. The design of the book is outstanding - clear, big type; pages clearly numbered, gorgeous front and back covers. Read this book before taking a trip to
Costa Rica - and while you are there -its practical advice will save many a misstep. And besides, it's an entertaining read.

Summary: Glad to know that there are potholes in paradise!
Review: You just have to drive on the roads of Costa Rica to find out what potholes are. It is a dream for my wife and I to move down to Costa Rica and have been thinking about it quite a while. We were glad to come across this fascinating book by Tessa Borner. We think that we will be able to make better decisions and certainly be more aware of the potholes ahead. We highly recommend this book.
