Summary: Great guide for a great vacation!
Review: I just got back from the best vacation of my life on Kauai, thanks to this book. Having been there twice before, I was pleased to learn about and visit some of the best places on the island that I was previously unaware of. Very informative and forthright, with some great recommendations. Well worth the money! I'll use this book again and again!

Summary: Best Kauai Guidebook
Review: I've been to Kauai many times and know the island very well thanks to this guidebook. I have found this book to be extremely acurate in just about everything that is said. Even though I've gone thru this book forwards and backwards many times, I still use it every time I go back. I'll be going back to Kauai June 1st and the book will be going with me. It's got to be the best guidebook out there, hands down.

Summary: The absolute BEST guidebook to the island
Review: I wish I could give this book ten stars---it's worth it. In fact, it's worth twice the cost. If you're going to Kaua'i, at least buy this book. Note that the authors have also written a guidebook to the Big Island and it's also excellent. Both are roses among dandelions.

Summary: I wish I had bought this book for my first trip to Kauai!
Review: This is an outstanding guide book full of beautiful pictures and right on information. I picked up this book before my second trip to Kauai. We had visited the island the year before for our honeymoon. I really wish we had bought this book a year earlier!There were so many things on Kauai that we didn't even think of to do or see the first time and we bumbled around from place to place, seeing little of the island. The second trip, we used this guidebook and checked out some outstanding restaurants and beaches. Without the book, we never would have gone to JoJo's Clubhouse for shave ice or found parking for Ke'e Beach. Something we found helpful was the aerial photos of the resorts section where we got to see just how far the ocean is from where you are planning to stay. We were at the Hyatt for both trips and would readily make reservations there again in a heartbeat! This is an amazing resource for the island. I wish the authors would write books for Maui and Oahu!

Review: We took the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook with us on our vacation to Kauai. The book had great information, was right on in restaurant reviews and great in finding sites. It was our "bible" while we were in Kauai.

Review: Went to Kaua'i 5 years ago and bought this book at a small market in Lihu'e on the first day. We carried it with us everywhere we went. A terrific and accurate resource for information of all kinds, from surfing to souveniers. If you're heading to Kaua'i you must have this book. Buying one for a friend who's on his way.

Review: I just purchased this book, and it's definitely the best Kauai guidebook I've seen. You can tell the authors really love the island and know it well. I have made 4 trips to Kauai in the past 6 years, and found the authors' comments and reviews to be on-the-mark about virtually everything that I have experienced. This makes me excited about my upcoming trip this summer because I feel I've been steered toward some new finds.

Review: I orginally bought the Kauai Underground book and was very disappointed so I bought this one. This was exactly what I was looking for. I have never been to Kauai so I needed info on available activites and tour operators. They put in non recommended ones and recommended ones so we as readers could make the decision, not the book. It is easy to navigate through. Definately get this one if you have never been to Kauai.

Review: We have visited Kauai often in the last twenty years and I thought we had seen most of the Island. I purchased the first edition and have bought all editions since then. We found places we had never seen before and have been happy with all the information in the book. I have given this book as a gift to several friends going to Kauai - The reason I am ordering one now. I have found it to be accurate and funny!.
