Summary: Don't Go To Disney World Without Reading This Book!
Review: I read this book from cover to cover before we left home and I thought his comments and reviews were right on target. We avoided the crowds, tried some restaurants we might not have (specifically the Norweigan buffet at Epcot), and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this book for anyone headed to Disney World.

Summary: Extremely valuble
Review: I have bought this book three times. Every time I go to Disney World I buy the updated version. This book will save you countless hours of time.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Don't go to WDW without it.
Review: The book was informative as well as humorous. It gave detailed information on each ride, show, and restaurant. It came in handy when deciding where to eat. He was right on the money. There was also information on sites outside WDW.

Summary: IGNORE THE CRITICS. THIS BOOK IS INDISPENSABLE!
Review: Twenty years ago, some friends and I visited DisneyWorld for the first time. Our experience was disasterous. We wandered around in total confusion and left the parks each day in utter exhaustion. Last June, my family and I returned - armed with Sehlinger's independent advice and counsel. Our experience this time was nothing short of perfection. Thanks to Mr. Sehlinger, we chose the perfect package, selected the ideal hotel, obtained confirmed reservations well in advance of our arrival, and developed a daily touring plan that delighted each member of the family ranging from a hyperactive 5-year-old to an over-tired spouse. With as many as 70,000 visitors per day, I pity those souls that venture into the unknown so ill-prepared especially when considering the cost of a DisneyWorld vacation. This book is worth its weight in gold!

Summary: Fabulous
Review: This book is worth its money. If your like me and don't like standing in line this book is the one for you. It gives you valuble information about the theme parks and other theme parks outside of WALT DISNEY WORLD

Summary: Buy It And Use It
Review: The Unofficial Guide to WDW is worth the purchase price several time over. Even if you are not interested in the theories of ride flow or their reviews of eateries, the touring plans will get you around the parks with a minimum of hassle. We used the plans on our first family viist to WDW two years ago and swear by the them. On our visit there the next year we used them as a reference only since they had us so well prepared the year before. If you are a first-time visitor, buy the book. Read it. Memorize it. Use it. You will be miles ahead of visitors who walk in the gates, look at the map for the first time and say, "Well, what do you want to do?" By that time you will on your third attraction!

Summary: Indispensable
Review: If you're looking for rest and relaxation, head for the beach. If you want the most value for your dollar at WDW, put on your good walking shoes and bring along this book! A vacation should not be spent standing in long lines, seeing overrated attractions, and eating poor quality food -- and Sehlinger tells you exactly how not to.

His touring plans for each park tell you exactly where to go, when to go and how to get there; without them, you'll likely need an extra day to see everything worth seeing. Every attraction is described in detail and rated by age group -- a must for planning an itinerary. The restaurant reviews were extremely helpful -- with so many choices, it was a relief to see an unbiased rating of each.

A great book to help plan a great vacation!

Summary: For WDW travellers, an absolute must read!
Review: Pay no attention to the naysayers about this book. If you want honest, useful information about how to get the most out of your Walt Disney World vacation, this is the best book to buy, by far. I've been to WDW five times over the last twelve years and have used the Unofficial Guide each time to plan our visit. Every time, this book has saved us time and money and GREATLY increased the pleasure of our stay at WDW. If you want sugar-coated propoganda about WDW, then buy another book, but if you want great insight for getting the most out of your Disney World vacation, this is the ONLY book to get.

Summary: The only sane way to visit disney
Review: Although some might call this book too negative, realistic is a more apt description. If a traveller reads this book and uses it both before and during his/her Walt Disney World experience, most of the major vacation problems can be avoided. Yes, its demands that you start early and move quickly through the parks might feel pushy to those who like to feel spontaneous on a vacation. But, for those of us who feel that being in long lines in Florida's heat is the worst form of torture, this book is an absolute necessity. Its only real drawback is its being out-dated even before its publication. There are good descriptions of the new Animal Kingdom, but it doesn't contain any critiques or tested itineraries. Hopefully, there is a newer edition coming soon for those of us traveling there this summer. Its tips about reservations for lodging and dining are extremely important as is its argument that you must plan a Disney vacation ahead of time to get the most enjoyment from it for yourself and your family.

Summary: This book is disheartening!`
Review: I have to agree that his book is written in a very negative way. I am planning a trip to WDW and am very excited. I bought this book hoping to add to my enthusiasm, but found that I now have more concerns than I did previously. This book has managed to make the "happiest place on earth" seem like a chore rather than a happy adventure. The more I read, the more worrisome I become. Not to mention the fast paced race you must make around the park so as not to "miss anything". This is a vacation, not marathon. I have yet to read a truly "good" review about anything in Disney according to this book. I have been to WDW several times, and I don't believe any of my trips were as miserable as this book seems to make them.

There is, however, some good info on the parks if you take it with a grain of salt and DON'T put too much emphasis on the "reviews and opinions". This, however, is just my opinion!
