Summary: A "must-purchase" for anyone going to Walt Disney World
Review: I just purchased this book, and I cannot put it down. My wife and I are going next December, and can't wait. I would reccommend this book to anyone: couples, singles, or families. This book gives a "no holds barred" perspective; including reviews from readers about what the author told them. His reviews are thorough and complete (note: he reviews everything...rides...restaurants...hotels). At any rate, if your going you can't afford to NOT buy this book.

Summary: A must-read before heading to Disney World!
Review: The candid reviews of attractions and food plus the readers' letters made this book essential to the success of our trip. The only downside is the absence of pictures, which can be found in the "official" guide.

Summary: Very Comprehensive
Review: Wonderful book! It is soooo in-depth, it's great to plan with. We rode all the biggest rides and never waited more than 20minutes!! It was wonderful, and their recomendations on where to eat was right on also!

Summary: I shoulda followed the advise!
Review: The book gets into the nitty-gritty aspects of traveling through Disney World. It was right on the money in finding value for the dollar. In its restaurant review I should have paid attention to its review of Bongo's Restaurant but I thought that it was being too critical. The book as it turned out was correct in its rating and comments on the restaurant. Its recommendation of the Moroccan restaurant as being good value was also correct.

Summary: Unbiased Look At Our Friend With The Big Ears
Review: An irreverant, offbeat, and hilarious look at America's favorite tourist attraction. Very informative and useful. Maybe future editions can look at facilities and accomodations outside of the park in the Kissimmee area.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent Source of Information
Review: This book is an outstanding reference guide for anyone who is planning a trip to Disney. There's tons of information about every aspect of Disney. The only thing to be aware of is they are VERY hard on Food in Disney World.

Summary: There is no other book worth owning regarding Disney World
Review: I have read nearly all the books regarding Disney World - and those I haven't READ, I've perused in the Book Store (remember them??) - I also travel to Disney twice a year for 2 2-week vacations - and this is the only book I recommend to anyone who asks my advice (and there are many, being one of nine children...). It also happens to suit my personality - written very objectively, with almost an "operations management" perspective - which may make it a little dry for those who prefer Birnbaum's pretty pictures - however, as a consumer who happens to like Disney World VERY much (yes, I also like Paris, etc...) I happen to agree with ALL his assessments. What I take to be a true sign of a quality book is one which prints letters from readers who disagree with their book - and why. Very well-rounded, excellent information - very few pictures (i.e. it's not for everyone!).

Summary: An invaluable tool for compulsive planners
Review: Since I am the obsessive one of the family, it was left to me to plan the details of our trip to WDW last summer. Being a librarian, I took a look at as many guidebooks as I could find before purchasing this one, and I was not disappointed. We are not huge Disney fanatics, i.e. we don't know every movie by heart and our son hasn't even heard of some of them, but we had fond memories of visiting as kids. I used this book to put together detailed lists of the best times to approach each ride, and though all of my friends told me I was overplanning and was going to be disappointed, the plans worked like a charm and the trip went perfectly. We saw everything we wanted to see. The humor in the book is much appreciated for those of us who are Disney-cynics. In my opinion, hotel information lacking in the book can easily be found online, with pictures, and the restaurant ratings were useful. I know others find this book too harsh or compulsive about its touring plans, and I acknowledge that the book may not be for everyone, but it fits my personality type to a T. I had planned to make do with our old edition, but on reading these reviews have decided to go and purchase this years for our trip next month!

Summary: The most useful Disney theme park summary I have ever read!
Review: Being a true Disney fan, I have read many books on the subject and have visited the parks many times. This is the one guide book I have been able to trust for accurate information each and every time I pick it up. It is written in an easy to read format and I have found it quite easy to flip to the information I am looking for. Another wonderful feature of this book is the letters and comments from its readers - letters from people who have used this book who either agree or disagree with the authors. All in all, I can recommend no Disney guidebook higher. It can be helpful to read other books when planning a vacation, but this one shouldn't be overlooked.

Summary: Absolutely indispensible guide
Review: Almost everything in the book was right on the money. If you're going to WDW, you MUST HAVE A PLAN and this book will help you get one.

I thought it was awfully harsh in reviewing the food before we went, but it was pretty much on the mark there.

Some of the reviews related to eateries were outdated; apparently Disney changes up the offerings pretty frequently.

But otherwise a terrific book.
