Summary: Best of its kind
Review: This book is definitely the best of its kind on the market. It's colorful, up-to-date, and easy to use, and I love the fact it is pocket-sized - I take it everywhere with me. It's so much easier to use and nicer to look at than other food-count books. Whoever came up with the idea of including restaurants was onto something - I always take it with me when I eat out and check the calories of menu items before I order. I first bought one in 2001 (it's updated every year) when I decided to eat more healthily. It's a great resource - I lost 30 lbs, and I've kept it off.

Review: This book is one of the better reference books I've seen anywhere as far as providing a wide variety of foods, However if you plan on using the Fast-Food Chain and Restaurants guide as a standard reference,and live in the Mid-Atlantic area, you might be dissappointed. The restaurant and food-chain section is lacking many familiar restaurants in this region of the country.

Summary: My Best Friend!
Review: This book is the best thing that has come into my life! I never leave home without it, as it is my guidance...my support. With it, I have no excuse whatsoever to not watch what I eat. It definitely was my companion over the holidays. It has been 3 months since I stumbled onto the book and I have already lost 14 lbs! The good news is that they been staying off. Believe me...keeping weight off is not an easy task for me. I thank the brilliant minds behind this book, as this book is helping me towards my goal. Thank you!!!

Summary: Really is the best
Review: This really is the best book out there for calorie counting. I have yet to llok something up that hasn't been in there. BUT, I reduced the rating by one star because the table of contents is wrong. Obviously, the last time it was updated, the TOC wasn't updated as well, so it's off by three or four pages throughout, which drives me nuts. Otherwise a terrific resource.

Summary: A lifesaver
Review: When my son got diabetes, I was so scared, there are so many foods with no nutritional informaton on it. A friend of mine gave us this book as a gift and I felt so relieved, my son loves fruit and now I have no problem working fruit into his diet. This book has become my bible, we can even eat out without worry because there is a resturant guide. I give this book to everyone of his teachers, to help him make good choices when I am not there. I would recommend this book to anyone with diabetes or anyone just trying to count there carbohydrates, it is great.
