Summary: A passport to the stars?
Review: Being a hard core trek fan and collector, this book is on my shelf. That said, it has some interesting verbage and pictures to it. It is what it is, a small little cash maker for the publisher. I could see where it would be helpful if someone were writing a trek book and needed a small amount of quick reference material.

Summary: Spiffy Small Travel Book
Review: Even though every Star Trek fan knows almost all the trivia information in this book it is a nice filler. If you're going to roleplay in the Star Trek universe it provides a good background for location hopping on alien worlds.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Meager
Review: It's a thin and inexpensive book, but I still would have expected more from it. The Travel Guide presents nothing more than some well-known trivia. Although it is not "canon" anyway, it doesn't try to make the touristic Star Trek Universe a bit more diverse. The images in the book are not of very high quality either.

Summary: An amusing book for Trekkers
Review: Michael Jan Vincent and Nathaniel West (not the author of Miss Lonelyhearts) have produced a winning effort here. This book written as travel suggestions from Ambassador Laxwana Troi is an interesting overview of the Star Trek universe. Troi gives us tips on travel in all the different worlds of the Federation as well as worlds outside of Federation space. It probably will not appeal to any non Trekkers but it is amusing for the Trekker yearning to visit different worlds. It lends a new wrinkle to the legendary Star Trek universe. We may fight over Kirk and Picard but we can all get a kick out of this book.

Review: Only for the most hard core Star Trek fans.

Summary: Look out universe, here comes Lwaxana!
Review: The Daughter of the Fifth House is as hilarious as ever in this little book. She tells you everything from the most incredible places in the universe (i.e.- Risa, the Amusement Park Planet) to places to avoid at all costs (Romulan Star Empire, Borg, Dominion) to where to get the best plate of haggis. Even her rating system had me laughing so hard I almost split my sides! A must-read for anyone planning to travel the galaxy in a couple centuries or the Trekker looking for a laugh.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Delightful
Review: This Travel Guide provides enough accurate, reliable and more-than-adequate information to let you know which places to pick and avoid.

It's great enough to keep a reader amused.
