Summary: And Excellent Book
Review: I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down to do anything else. . ..one of the author's best for sure...

If you liked this book, or want to read one that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A Christmas gift to be cherished forever.

Summary: Consider this a bridge to "Drums of Autumn"
Review: I loved the whole Outlander series, but this book was my least favorite. It has many of the elements that I enjoyed in the other books -- historical detail, great characters, interesting plot twists. But. I was disappointed in the reunion between Claire and Jaime after 20/200 years of separation. The first thing he does is wet his pants (by sitting in something). Then they have a Keystone Cop-style set of adventures with fires, revenue agents, etc. I thought the Chinaman was silly. It got better later, though there were times I had trouble following what was going on -- and why. I did like the introduction of the teenage young Ian, another endearing character. Also liked getting to know Roger and Brianna better. And the next book gets much better.

Summary: I have fallen in love with Claire and Jamie.
Review: I've only just begun Voyager, but I'll probably be reading Drums of Autum by the end of the week! WOW! There is so much to say about these books. I want everyone I know to read them, but on the other hand, I almost want to keep them all to myself!! I wish I could go back 200 years and find a man like Jamie Fraser, Lord knows there' no one like that in this day and age. The only bad thing I can say is that Diana Gabaldons books make reality stink and I can't seem to put her books down long enough to get any school work done! Diana, PLEASE DON'T STOP WRITING ABOUT JAMIE AND CLAIRE!!!!!!

Summary: A total surprise!
Review: I must say that I was happily surprised. I usually don't like romantic novels but "Voyager" had just enough historical fiction to keep give it a perfect balance! Great characters in situations that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Summary: Rich in history, interesting facts, wonderful love story.
Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read. I have bought all four paperbacks and wish I had invested in hard copies. I have passed them on to 3 people who have also been as enthusiastic as I about them. Can't wait for the next installment to see what can possibly happen to Claire,Jamie, and Brianna. Each time I finished a book, I was sorry it ended and was hungry for more. They are all so rich in the history, culture, facts and the love story is one that everyone should wish could happen for them. Just when you think nothing else could happen, another adventure occurs - great fun!

Summary: Brilliant
Review: I have one thing to say to the reader from Florida who hated this book, Well you are in the minority, i loved it and no one forced you to read them!

Summary: These Books Get Worse and WORSE
Review: I liked OUTLANDER. I found the next book in the series, DRAGONFLY, to be a bore. It's wholly flashback. But mostly it's too longwinded. By the time I got to VOYAGER, my patience ran out. Good writing comes from revising and cutting those precious pages. I didn't bother with DRUMS because she's lost me as a reader. I wish she'd kept the style (freshness) she had with Outlander.

Summary: It was one of the most compeling books I've ever read.
Review: I never thought that a book could truly convey the kind of man, most women would truly wish to know and love.It is wonderful to find an author that can write so well about not just the passion and first love aspect, but the day to day living with a man.So many times we read about men or women that are so perfect they seem surreal. No blemishes,no worries,no life.I sometimes wish Jamie Fraiser were real, all principles intact no guessing for his real motives,he is as he is.I was fortunate to know only one other man that equaled his morals,he's now gone but not forgotten,my father. With his 3rd grade education he hadmore love of life and the people in it than any one else I've ever known. So read these books and gain some knowledge of what a real man should be,kind, pasionate, safe and someone to count on in a fix.

Summary: I am impressed
Review: I'm pretty conservative when it comes to my tastes in historical fiction, I like your basic recent-setting novels like -The Triumph and the Glory- or the vividly real sea stories of Patrick O'Brian or Bernard Cornwell's terrific Sharpe's books. My son of all people persuaded me to give Diana Gabaldon a try. I had to grudgingly admit that even though the time travel notion is pretty out there, the whole thing works well in the context of what the author is trying to say to the reader. I'm going to read her other books as well, she is a great writer. Thanks, son!

Summary: Brilliant and addictive - Love these books
Review: In contrast to other readers I actually enjoyed this book the most of the three Gabaldon books I have read so far and of course am now showing signs of Outlander withdrawel!!! There was only one complaint I have in regards this book - why the inconsistency with the date at which Gellis Duncan returned to the 18th century - Was it 1967 or 1968??? Please someone explain to me why in some parts of the book in was 1967 (also the date mentioned in the book "Dragon Fly in Amber) and in other parts it was 1968?? (if you can help pls email me).
