Summary: UNBELIEVABLY ADDICTING!
Review: This is a MUST READ BOOK! Do not be afraid of how thick it is. I read it in 13 days, staying up until all hours of the morning because I couldn't put it down! It is honestly the best love story I have ever read. Jamie Fraser is definitely someone to dream about! Diana Gabaldon, thank you sooo much! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series, "Dragonfly in Amber" I would absolutely recommend this book!

Review: As a happily married woman for the last 20 years, and I love my husband more than anything, I would leave him flat in a New York minute if Jaime Frasier were to show up on my doorstep. I have never read a series of romantic fiction that was funny, heartbreaking, and every emotion in-between. Diana Gabaldon is the all time best, and I am waiting for the next volumes of the series to come out. This is the MUST READ series of a lifetime! I LOVED THE BOOKS !

Summary: Gabaldon's books are addictive!
Review: I've never been so consumed by a book and its characters as I was with "Outlander". Diana Gabaldon is the greatest, and I'm hooked for life. I'm now halfway through "Dragonfly in Amber" and have the other books of the saga waiting to be read next. Jaime Fraser is to die for, and Claire and Jaime are of the greatest couples ever written about!

Summary: A writer of epic proportions
Review: Claire and Jamie's story touched my heart from the first page to the last. Jamie is the best male character I've seen in ages; he's not perfect and doesn't try to be. I admire Claire and her strong personality. These books sweep you into their lives...when I finished "Dragonfly in Amber" I nearly cried because I thought the story was over! "Voyager" is excellent, by far my favorite of them all. "Drums in Autumn" was somewhat sad, but I'm eagerly awaiting the next two books in the saga. If you're looking for more than just a quick cut-and-dry romance, please consider these books; you'll never regret it!

Review: This book may be catagorized in the Romance section but it isSO much more than that. The premise of time travel is intriguing and Ilearned a great deal about Scotland's history. The romance may be secondary but wowee! Great sex scenes and not overdone.

Summary: best characters i ever read
Review: This book, and the ones that follow it, were honestly the most entertaining books i have ever read. Diana Gabaldon's characters are so fascinating, you'll want to take them out to lunch. the fringe characters are particularly enjoyable. Although it's classified as romance, you won't find any of the annoying qualities that go with your usual romance novel (weak heroine, non- consensual sex on every other page, poor dialogue). It is just SUPER in all respects. can't say enough about it. i think i've read the series at least 3 times, and tried to push it on all my romance novel hating friends. just goes to show you can't judge a book by its' genre. you may also want to read 'The Mists of Avalon' by marion zimmer bradley and 'The Light Bearer' by donna gillespie if you like good historical fiction that's not heavy on sappy gooey-eyed romance.

Summary: Two Thumbs Waaaaaaay Up!
Review: To be perfectly honest, I bought this book 'because' it was so thick. I was babysitting my niece and nephew for the week and wanted a book I could read while watching them play in the pool. I could NOT put it down...okay, I did put it down to watch the kids...but quickly picked it right back up again. I devoured it in about three days. The worst thing I can say about it is that it is so engrossing that I would stay up way to late to read "just one more chapter." Diana Gabaldon is a wizard at creating characters so real you feel as if you know them. From the first page until the last you are captivated; first by Claire and her time travel backwards in time, then by Jamie and his secret family history. Will Claire, with her knowledge of future events, be able, with Jamie's help, to change to the course of Scottish history? Each page is a gem and once I read the final words, I ran right out and bought the next book and then the next..."give me more" I say! I have recommended this to all my friends and they have all had the same experience...once you start you just can't put it down.

Review: A friend loaned me the book to read and it sat on the shelf for a few weeks. I had nothing to read one weekend and I thought this will surely put me to sleep. As long as it is I had it read that very weekend. Outlander is one of the most imaginative and poinant books I have ever read. Diana makes you feel as if these people really exist and that you could find them somewhere in time if you went looking. Don't miss it, you would regret it. I can't wait to read DRAGONFLY IN AMBER.

Review: Thank God I was lucky enough to be in a bookstore one day when a stranger, also in the romance section, recommended this book! These characters get into your mind and heart. Truly unforgettable! Looking back, I should have recognized the twinkle accompanying the demure smile on her face as she handed me this amazing story! I haven't been the same since...Now, I too feel like standing in the aisles and casually recommending this book to browsing romance addicts, and unleashing this magnificent adventure onto them...:)
