Rating: Summary: My Favorite Christmas Gift Ever! Review: I requested this book as a Christmas gift because, starting with the cover, it resonated with me like no other book of it's type (if there is one!). I've had an interest in this part of the world and a compassion for the people of this region for many years, so it was easy to recognize that Mr. Chapman's work was quite simply a labor of love, and it shows in every page and every word.Give this heart-grasping gift to someone who appreciates the essence of true peace and joy, for that is exemplified in this beautiful celebration of the Tibetan people. Thank you, Thank you, William R. Chapman!

Mr. Chapman has captured the very soul of this country and its people. You will treasure this book and the window it provides to a far & little known place.

Rating: Summary: Heart-grasping Work Review: This exquisite pictorial collection captures my heart just like the previous "The Spirit of Tibet: Portrait of a Culture in Exile" by Alison Wright. William Chapman has captured the soul and spirit of the Tibetan people, a people in exile. I have always have a strong interest in Tibet, and, hpefully, one day I can experience the roof of the world myself. The collection has unveiled the people, the land, and the religion behind the facade. You may experience and sense the peace, joy, meekness of the people. Beautifully done!
