Summary: An amazing compendium of useful and entertaining info
Review: From knots to medicinal herbs to yoga postures, this book contains an amazing range of information. Some--or much-- of the information is a bit esoteric, but that adds a mystic touch. I find something new in it every day. I keep mine in a basket in the bathroom (next to my own book about composting toilets)---however, this has resulted in houseguests "disappearing" for long periods in my bathroom.

Summary: A book with anything you can imagine
Review: Need to know some basic yoga positions, or how to defend yourself? Do you want to learn basic reflexology or find out which herb will help your ailment??? Then this is the book for you!!! This book covers such a variety of information that I would need tons of space to fit it all in. This is a great learn the basics or just fill your head with useless info book!!! I love it and it has cool artwork in it too!!!

Summary: A little (lot) of everything...
Review: This book is one of the rare items that I would rate 10 stars if I could! I can't believe the amount of useful information located in this book. This book should come with each human produced on this planet as standard issue. This book is applicable whether you travel from home to work or around the world - and even if you don't leave your house at all!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: its practicality creeps up on you
Review: ...I started reading through this, thinking it was some strange mix of the Boy Scout Handbook, the Anarchists Cookbook, and Principia Discordia. I read more, and realized that this book is chock full of basic practical information. It feels like Carradine's Kwai Chang Caine had been asked to write a comic book, and accidentally wound up delivering a crash course in basics of keeping alive and healthy. It's strange and delightful, and hopefully will start a loony cult.

Summary: Silly Stories with Serious Substance
Review: If you buy two books in a lifetime - this should be on your short list.

A how-to on pretty much everything important - such as how to live and stay healthy. There were several things I didn't much agree with (I'm skeptical of Asian medicine) but all else? It's solid, good, reasonably accurate info. If you're a fan of the "Worst-Case Survival Guides", or have ever wondered "What if..." on odd situations, or wondered "How would I..." on topics from sailing to exercise to oriental food to love, you'll have a good read ahead of you here.

Well, well, WELL worth the money. What are you waiting for?

Summary: Unique indeed, but usefull...
Review: This book surprised me with its vast scope and humorous wit. This book is sort of like an encyclopedia of general, and not so general, knowledge. It has everything from the great importance of clear finger nail polish, general navigation, nuclear radiation treatment, tips about sex, how to fish, health (diet, vitamins, etc.) and on it goes. It is illustrated by the author, who in his own right is an enigma though a very intriguing man. This book has it all in a neat little package. This is not a sit-down-and-read kind of book, but one that should be used for reference. I pick a certain page and try to learn that particular entry for that day. It can broaden your general knowledge greatly.

Summary: Pay attention, this will count for 75% of your final grade
Review: In as few words as possible, The Art of Shen Ku is .... a comic book from God. An owner's manual for anything carbon-based. Jackie Chan's cookbook. "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" as written by Leonardo Da Vinci. Etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum.

But all true.

Impressive.

I challenge anyone to open this book, and not go home with it.

Summary: UNBELIEVEABLE
Review: THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ. PACKED WITH KNOWLEDGE AND JUST PLAIN FUN STUFF YOU CANT GET ENOUGH OFF.

Summary: The best travelling book ever!!
Review: The Art of Shen Ku caught my eye immediately! It wasn't just the cover but the colour & the information it gave, you either knew this book is for you or not!!I still cannot begin to comprehend how detailed it is, I've never seen anything like it before, its amazing. It contains everything you could possibly want; from how to sew on a button to improving your sex life!!I would reccommend this book to anyone & everyone who likes something new, original & interesting & of course, those who, like me, have a passion for travelling, for it really is the ultimate travellers guide!

Summary: An entertaining, educating, and thoroughly useful book.
Review: If life has a how-to book, it just might be this one. As an avid reader with a multitude of hobbies and skill, I'm truely amazed at the depth, breadth, and accuracy of the information contained in this work. From CPR to Aikido to rigging sailboats, this book has it all. Even the experts might find a good trick or two they didn't know.
