Rating: Summary: Chinese Cantonese : Travel Talk Review: The book's great, the cassette is crap. So I'll only tell you that what you learn on the cassette is a series of disconnected words or phrases, which will only help you if you have the precise problem with you hotel room as the speakers on the tape - otherwise, you're stuck.
Rating: Summary: Too many errors! Review: The wordlist that accompanies Level 1 is fraught with errors - errors in the pinyin; errors in the tone markings; errors between what was included in the wordlist and what was recorded; errors in the English; and annoying music in the background, which is supposed to help you learn (claims the publisher), but actually drowns out the recording at points.I wrote twice to the publisher (Penton Overseas) about the errors. I asked for a refund because you cannot return this to the store once the shrink-wrap has been removed. I have not received any response from the publisher (and it's now been over a month since I first wrote to them). I'm very disappointed with the product, the customer service at Penton Overseas, and the money I spent on this product!
