Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Misleading Title
Review: As suggested by the title, this book is about Waterloo, but it does a major disservice to the rest of Byram Twp., except for Cranberry Lake. Areas receiving primarily coverage include Andover, Stanhope and Lk. Hopatcong (which are not in Byram Twp.) plus the Morris Canal in Waterloo and Stanhope. Portions of present Byram covered include very little other than Waterloo and Cranberry Lake. Most of the pictures are old yet readily available as post cards. Almost zero on history, settlers, schools, churches, government, cemeteries, trades, development, families, genealogy, etc., etc., etc. In my opinion, a total waste of money. I believe someone searching for information about the entire township would be far better served to locate a copy of the 1966 Johnson - Hart history of Byram Twp. book.
