Summary: helpful book
Review: I thought the book was helpful for my trip to Hamburg. It gave me good ideas of where to go to sightsee. During one of my visiting days, the map of Hamburg was helpful as I was walking around the city. I was staying with a local family and they said the book was a good guide. I can't say much about the previous reader's opinion on the Berlin coverage, but I can say that this book was worth it for me.

Summary: Get another book!
Review: Information was lacking on very important topics such as how to get around the subway system of Berlin. There are only a few pages on Dresden, one of the cultural capitals of Europe! And, there is no information on some of the more interesting, smaller towns around Saxony. Aside from the missing information, this book is a technical mess. There is a group of symbols used for information on sites and hotels etc. However, the keys to interpreting these symbols are scattered around the book. For example, the duck symbol which indicates a site appropriate for children was only explained in an appendix of the book. Buy a Rough Guide instead.
