Summary: This guide set the stage for a great vacation!
Review: Definitely a must-have for camping in the Smokies. I was going camping there for the first time and I had no idea what to expect or where to go. I bought this guide and used it in planning my trip and selecting my campground. It was just as described--a beautiful, spacious campground with private, sheltered campsites surrounded by rhododendron bushes. This book allowed me to find exactly the kind of site I wanted. The author doesn't just list the campgrounds--any guide can do that--he describes the individual campsite arrangements as well. I know I never would have found this campground on my own. I'm going back again next year, and I'll be using this guide to choose my sites. I just wish this author would write campground recommendations for all of my destinations.
