Summary: Best guide I ever had
Review: I bought an early version of this guide when I moved to England in 1996. I still have the same guide and won't part with it. If you are touring central London, this map is a must have: extremely easy to read and full of valuable information. Most importantly, every street and point of interest is clearly marked. There is a two page map covering the full area of central London. Following that is a series of two page maps detailing small sections of central London. There are annotations of all of the visitor's sites you will need for your next visit, including hotels, theaters, museums, churches, underground stations, rail stations, restaurants, government buildings, neighborhood names, famous shopping, etc. This booklet is especially helpful for the walking tour. At the start of the book is a list of all of the major tourist attractions and other places of interest to the visitor. Each attraction includes a brief description along with its map location, the price for admittance (if applicable), a rating from one to five stars, and the name of the nearest underground station. It also includes a map of all bus routes and the map of the underground. This booklet is a MUST for anyone visiting the city. YOU JUST CAN'T GET LOST WITH THIS ONE. It's also compact, so you can carry it with you everywhere you go. It was the first map I bought when I arrived in London. I've used others, but they just aren't as good. This one has all the information you could ever want for next visit to the great city of London. I'm returning for a visit next year and I'm taking my old map with me.

Summary: Best guide I ever had
Review: I have several guides for London and they are great for reference but this is the one I use. Even after living in Englad for 8 month's I still carry this every time I go to London. It's about twice the size of a checkbook and about the same weight. The map clearly shows thousands of sites, has a detailed theater map, and shows the tubes and even the buses. It's a good idea to have one of the larger guides to read before you go out but this is the one to take. I wish they did maps of other cities. I would buy them all.
